Thank you all for your feedback on the Knightstones demo! Many of you have tried it, reported balancing issues or bugs, and it really helps me a lot to understand your expectations.

Without further ado, here are the details of the first major demo patch!

Big Improvements

  • You can now return a Fighter to your hand after placing them on the field

  • Reworked the Scarlet Lord’s effect: it now grants +4 HP to 2 random enemies at the start of the battle phase

  • Group stat calculations are now explained in a tutorial during the second fight (you’ll need to start a new run for it to appear) If you don’t want to start a new run, here’s the tutorial: "The number below the enemy group indicates its overall strength. It corresponds to total DPS × total HP."

Global Improvements

  • Letters falling onto the table are now more visible

  • New player starting position for better visibility of the often-overlooked door

  • Added an effect on the door until it’s opened for the first time

  • The bar under the cursor now gives clearer feedback when the hammer is ready to strike

  • Added feedback when trying to pick up the hammer, prompting you to click directly on a target

  • Added feedback when trying to equip a Fighter with no available slot or when they are off the field

  • Added visual effects when the Inquisition Lord moves on the map to make them more noticeable

Battles

  • Enemies no longer send reinforcements to the frontline if they already have the advantage there

Management

  • Adept recruitment is now slightly cheaper and yields more Adepts

Debug

  • Fixed French text errors

  • Fixed buttons not registering clicks when clicking on icons inside them
