Knightstones changes
Hi everyone!
So many of you have played the Knightstones demo, and I can't thank you enough!
46 of you have already left a positive review on the demo's Steam page, and that support means a lot. It gives me even more motivation to make the 1.0 release the best it can be.
Here's what I've been working on throughout July:
The campaign is about 90% complete.
What's left is mostly pacing. I actually plan to make the campaign slightly shorter so it stays exciting from beginning to end, rather than artificially extending its length. It should take around 10 hours to complete. And if you want to unlock everything the game has to offer, you can expect a lot more with endgame content.
The three relics are almost finished.
They're incredibly fun to play with! You already got to try the Hammer in the demo, the Grimoire has been improved based on playtesters feedback, and the third relic is almost ready for playtesting.
The third Relic
It has been the main focus of my work this month. I haven't shared much about it yet because it's closely tied to the campaign, and I'd like to keep a few surprises for release!
Miniatures' HP bars
They have been redesigned to better represent their maximum health, making it much easier to judge each unit's strength at a glance during battles.
Lighting
I've finished several new lighting atmospheres, but not all of them have made it into the game yet.
Balancing
Allies have received a slight balance adjustment, and several new Allies are ready to join the game.
Readability
Allies now have a wooden appearance, making them easier to distinguish from regular Combatants.
Next month, my main focus will be finishing the campaign and working on the Order's buildings, which grant powerful bonuses and effects during your runs.
I also need to figure out when and how to bring some of these improvements to the demo!
In the meantime, feel free to follow the development on social media, and if you're enjoying Knightstones, telling your friends about it is one of the best ways to support the project. 🙂
I'll leave you with a few screenshots from this month's progress.
See you next month!
