Welcome to Update 0.8.5! This patch brings exciting new late-game power to your defenses with the introduction of Tower Ascensions, a significant overhaul to the Defense Mode economy, and some much-needed UI improvements. 🛡️ Defense Mode Changes
Introducing Tower Ascensions Take your defenses to the next level! Most towers have received an"Ascension"—a brand-new, powerful upgrade that can be unlocked dynamically during Defense Mode.
Economy Overhaul We are shifting how you earn your wealth to reward strategic saving and scale better with difficulty:
Dynamic Bounties: The gold bounty from slaying invaders now scales directly with the strength of the invaders.
- Wave Clear Gold AdjustedThe flat gold gained from clearing a wave has been reduced from [c]100 * Wave Number[/c] to [c]50 * Wave Number[/c].
New "Interest" Bonus: To balance the wave clear reduction, you now earn a massive 20% bonus based on your player's current banked gold at the end of a wave. Save up to earn big!
⚖️ Balance Adjustments
- Echo FreezerMaximum health percentage damage has been slightly reduced from 5% to 4% to keep it balanced with the new Ascension power spikes.
✨ Quality of Life & UI
Reward Details: The rewards icon is now selectable! Clicking it will display a detailed description of the loot you've collected.
Aura Tracking: Icons for your active Auras will now appear neatly at the top of the screen, making it much easier to track your current buffs.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Endgame Math FixesFixed several calculation bugs and overflows caused by interactions with extremely high numbers, which were causing issues for players reaching the deep endgame of Defense Mode.
