📢 Inquisitor Shepherd January Devlog: New Systems & Preparing for the Global Stage

Hello, this is Narrow Deep, the developer of Inquisitor Shepherd.

The final month of 2025 has passed, and we have welcomed a brand new year. While December was physically demanding for our team, it was a deeply meaningful time for strengthening the game's core and building new systems.

Here is an update on our current development progress and the schedule ahead.

🔔 December/January Development Highlights

  • Chapter 2 & New System Development: Along with Chapter 2, we have completed the 'Fast Travel System' and the 'Codex Feature.'

  • Global Demo & Steam Next Fest Preparation: The English translation system is complete and currently undergoing final review. We plan to unveil this during the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

  • Offline EventsWe successfully participated in Seoul Comic World. We plan to continue attending exhibitions and developing new merchandise.
  • Team Health Report: Development was slightly delayed due to health issues within the team. We’ve taken this as a lesson to build a more sustainable and robust development environment.

🎮 Detailed Progress Report

  1. Chapter 2 Progress & Quality-of-Life Updates Steam post image Steam post image Chapter 2 development is progressing smoothly. The story is reaching its climax, and we are working hard to ensure even richer and more engaging gameplay. Currently, we are focused on the main scripts and illustrations. Today, we’d like to share a sneak peek of some of the artwork that will appear in Chapter

  2. This month, we focused on two core systems to enhance player convenience:

  • Steam post image Point-to-Point Travel SystemWe improved the existing movement mechanics, allowing players to move between major hubs in the village more quickly and efficiently.
  • Steam post image Codex FeatureWe added a Codex to help players keep track of the game's lore and world information at a glance, increasing overall immersion.

These features were planned based on valuable feedback from our demo players. Therefore, we plan to retroactively implement these mechanics into Chapter 1 (the main story) as well. (Whether these features will be immediately updated in the currently public demo is still under internal review.)

  1. Global Demo & Steam Next Fest Preparations for our global launch are in the final stages as we get ready to introduce Shepherd to players worldwide.

  • Steam post imageSteam post image Translation System Ready: All technical systems for the English demo are complete. We are now in the in-depth review phase to ensure high-quality localization.

  • Participating in Steam Next FestThis updated version will be showcased at the upcoming Steam Next Fest. We are thrilled and excited to finally meet our global audience.
  • Bug Fixes & TyposNumerous bugs and typos reported in the previous demo will be thoroughly fixed in this update.
  1. Offline ExhibitionSeoul Comic World Steam post image We received so much support at the recent Seoul Comic World. Meeting and communicating with you in person gives us incredible energy. We plan to participate in various exhibitions whenever possible and are hard at work developing new merchandise to showcase at future events. (We look forward to the day we can join gaming conventions in English-speaking countries!)

🌡️ A Personal Note: Health and Development

To be honest, December was a challenging month as both developers came down with a severe flu. Struggling with illness for an extended period made us realize how vital health is. It is a bit disappointing that we couldn't maintain our target development speed during that time.

We sincerely apologize to the users who have been waiting. Taking this experience as a stepping stone, we promise to do our best to maintain"Healthy & Sustainable Development."We believe that a healthy mind and body lead to a healthy game.
