📢 Inquisitor Shepherd - March Devlog

Hello everyone,

This is Narrow Deep, the developers of Inquisitor Shepherd.

March has arrived, bringing the first hints of spring. We spent most of February focusing all our resources on refining the game’s core mechanics alongside our demo update.

We are excited to share our latest development progress and some significant news regarding our global journey.

🔔 March Development Highlights

  • Scenario Expansion: Chapter 2 development is proceeding smoothly, and we have begun drafting the initial script for Chapter 3.

  • New Character IntroductionsMeet 'Edwin Galberton' and 'Vale Walter,' two new figures appearing in Chapter 2 to deepen the game's mystery.
  • Steam Next Fest Success: Our global demo was well-received by English-speaking players, marking a successful conclusion to the event.

  • Global Publishing Discussions: We are currently in talks with overseas publishers regarding multi-language support (Chinese, Japanese) and global distribution.

🎮 Detailed Development Progress

  1. Chapter 2 Progress & Chapter 3 Drafting

We are currently pushing forward with Chapter 2, focusing on creating more engaging and suspenseful sequences. To ensure the overall narrative flows perfectly, we have also started drafting the core plot for Chapter 3.

Much of this month's work involves major story spoilers, so we ask for your understanding as we cannot reveal too many development illustrations just yet. Instead, we’d like to introduce two key characters who will lead the narrative in Chapter 2. (Attached are captured scenes from the game.)

Edwin Galberton

A free spirit who runs a beehive farm and a rest stop halfway up the Hoshi Mountain Trail. He often flusters Shepherd with his peculiar way of speaking—answering his own questions as he asks them. He seems to be plotting something secret in collaboration with the mountain guide, Linari.

Vale Walter

The Faith leader of the Hoshi Prayer House. He is a mysterious figure who vanishes for "personal maintenance" immediately after his service ends. For some reason, he seems to already know who Shepherd is, despite it being their first meeting.

  1. Steam Next Fest Success & Global Expansion News

The English demo version released during the recent Steam Next Fest received a warmer response from global users than we anticipated.

  • Positive Global Feedback: The encouraging feedback from English-speaking players has confirmed the strong potential for our global launch.

  • Multi-language ExpansionFollowing the success of the event, we have been contacted by several overseas publishers. We are currently in in-depth discussions regarding publishing contracts, including the production of Simplified/Traditional Chinese and Japanese versions .
  • Potential Schedule AdjustmentIf we finalize agreements for additional language support, the overall release schedule may be slightly adjusted to accommodate the extra production time. While nothing is confirmed yet, we wanted to share this transparently with our community who are eagerly waiting for the game.

✨ Closing Notes

Thanks to your unwavering support, we are now seeing great opportunities in the global market. Everyone here at Narrow Deep is committed to delivering a high-quality experience that transcends language and borders.

Please take care of your health during this change of seasons, and we will return next month with more heartfelt updates.

Thank you.
