changedWe are now releasing our dev builds as a Demo on Steam, in preparation for Next Fest. After Next Fest we will be cutting down the amount of content in the public demo builds, in prep for releasing in Early Access. The shorter version will still have enough content to show off the core gameplay.
addedWe have had several comments asking for a way to auto-distribute Loot to the Personal Bags, rather than needing to manually do so. Part of the intended gameplay is the strategy of how you distribute the Loot, and there are many valid strategies. Even among our team we don't have a single "best" way to distribute the Loot that we could set as the default. Eventually we would like to add a way for the player to set some rules to auto-distribute loot, but that system is not going to be added soon. Instead, we have come up with a difficulty setting that the player can enable to remove the need for distributing Loot. If you go into the Settings, there is a new setting called "Abilities Use Party Bag". It is currently under the Gameplay tab, though we will be adding a dedicated Difficulty tab in the future. If you enable this setting, when you use a Slime's Ability in combat, it will look at both the Slime's Personal Bag, and the shared Party Bag for what items are available. With this enabled you can completely ignore distributing Loot among the Bags.
changedIf you are wanting the game to move faster, and have chosen this setting, you may also want to disable "Post-Combat Inventory" on the Player UI tab. With that turned off, the game will not automatically open the Inventory screen after each combat.
addedWith the game now being released on Steam, there will be more people playing the desktop versions, instead of just the web. In recognition of this we are thinking more about settings and features that will benefit desktop players. In this release we have added some new Video settings. Much of this was actually in place for a long time, but was hidden due to issues with trying to set the resolution while embedded in a web page. We've added checks so that it will disable the Resolution and Borderless settings when on the web. We have also replaced the Fullscreen setting with Window Mode, which has 4 options. The game is designed to scale to any resolution, though will maintain its aspect ratio and add black bars as needed.
changedWe have also updated the app icon. Instead of showing all 4 Slimes in your party, we now show just Phil, eating some Loot.
