  • Gameplay
changedWe plan to take part in the June Steam Next Fest with a demo release of what we have in place. Our game will not be finished by then, but a fair amount of gameplay is ready in an early state. We are working to get as much of the core gameplay ready in time, though everything is subject to change based on player feedback.
addedThe art is being updated regularly. We are refining the concept art, and adding additional details. Characters are getting additional animations. Different groups are getting little touches to make them distinct.
changedThe basic combat loop is in place. As with many RPGs, combat will be a big part of the gameplay. The core combat systems are working, though several pieces are not finished yet. There will be special abilities which are more powerful, but have additional requirements to use. We will be spending more time polishing the combat gameplay up to make sure it is fun, and does not start feeling too repetitive.
addedThis is a story based RPG, so we are constantly working to refine the world building and storytelling. We have several places where you can interact with NPCs and learn more about the world. We will be adding more ways to interact, and refining some of the locations. Some of these interactions will just be flavor text, while others may give you quests.
changedCurrently the goal for the final game is to have around 10-15 hours of gameplay, but that will be dependent on how the game evolves over time. The aim is to make a fun game, rather than hit set numbers.
