This update focuses on resolving progression blockers, improving inventory and crafting reliability, stabilizing save behavior, and refining usability, feedback, and balance across core systems.
Save System and Persistence
Fixed an issue where previously deconstructed stations could reappear after loading a save, including cases where dismantling them again duplicated resources
Fixed cases where some pre-constructed machines could disappear when loading a save
Inventory and Storage System
Fixed item count update errors when transferring items from inventory to storage, including cases where item visuals disappeared before the stack was fully consumed
Fixed consumable items visually disappearing after use, even when the stack was not finished
Fixed ghost inventory slots where no item was visible, but the slot was still treated as occupied, preventing item pickup or use
Fixed an issue where resources dismantled using the Deconstructor could not be picked up, even when inventory space was available
Fixed inconsistent stack and slot behavior to ensure clear and predictable stack limits and correct slot usage
Fixed crafted items sometimes remaining suspended in the air when crafting actions were performed back-to-back
Fixed an issue where items could spawn in the air when attempting to pick them up with a full inventory
Progression and Crafting
Fixed an issue where MAINFRAME installation could appear to complete visually but not finalize, preventing the Core from being reinserted and blocking progression
Fixed cases where interaction terminals did not respond to input, which could block objectives or progression
Fixed an issue introduced after 0.6.8 where the Radar could not be constructed despite required materials being present, blocking main mission progression
Mission interactions are now correctly enabled based on the active mission step
Improved Deconstructor responsiveness and feedback
UI, Controls, and Settings
Fixed an issue where game settings, such as graphics, audio, and controls, were not being saved and had to be reconfigured on every launch
Fixed an issue where the camera could become stuck in third-person view after using emotes
Fixed interaction prompts appearing after a machine was already interactable instead of before
Added localization support for newly added texts
Added a confirmation pop-up to the benchmark menu
Navigation and Mission Indicators
Improved mission indicator behavior on the compass to reduce visual clutter as objectives are approached
Updated the compass for better overall visibility
Vehicles
Rover screens are now enabled. This system will be improved further in future updates
Fixed an issue where rover wheels could continue moving or appear to rotate visually after exiting the vehicle before it fully stopped
Survival and Gameplay Balance
Updated survival value consumption rates based on player feedback
Added a weather indicator to the HUD
Art and Visual Updates
Updated some ore models
Reduced flashlight intensity to improve usability and reduce cases where lighting made night visibility worse during resource gathering
Art improvements are ongoing and may take longer to land than code changes. Thank you for the detailed and precise feedback in this area.
