It has now been one month since Horizon Journey entered Early Access.

The first weeks were intense. We shifted quickly into stabilization mode and delivered 12 updates between 0.6.1 and 0.6.12, including hotfixes and structural patches. These updates focused on progression blockers, multiplayer stability, saving reliability, UI clarity, rover behavior, inventory consistency, and overall usability.

Today, the game is significantly more stable than it was at launch. Core systems such as saving, mission flow, inventory behavior, and multiplayer synchronization are in a much healthier state.

Update Cadence Moving Forward

We are now moving to a bi-weekly update cadence.

This change allows us to:

  • Work on larger, more meaningful improvements

  • Refactor systems properly instead of applying small temporary fixes

  • Add new content in a structured way, patch by patch

Urgent bugs and critical issues will not wait for this cadence. Hotfixes will continue to be deployed whenever necessary.

The bi-weekly structure applies to regular improvements and feature updates, not emergency fixes.

What Comes Next

We will continue prioritizing:

  • Stability and progression reliability

  • Multiplayer consistency

  • Core system polish

At the same time, we are beginning to shift gradually toward adding new content alongside fixes.

We are also currently working with our partners on a clearer long-term roadmap to improve transparency about Horizon Journey’s future direction.

There are still improvements to make, systems to refine, and content to add. We are committed to reaching the level we originally set for this project, update by update.

Known Issues

We are aware of ongoing issues, including:

  • Occasional crashes in certain gameplay scenarios

  • Some mission or research steps are not confirming correctly

  • Inventory and UI inconsistencies in edge cases

  • Rover instability or desync in specific multiplayer situations

  • Interaction targeting inconsistencies in crowded areas

  • Occasional world collision or clipping problems

These remain active priorities.

Planned Improvements

In parallel, we are working on:

  • Tutorial pacing and clarity improvements

  • Better UI readability and feedback

  • Clearer system notifications

  • Expanded keybinding coverage and control consistency

  • Rover interaction reliability improvements

  • Environmental pacing and survival balance adjustments

A Note to Returning Players

If you stepped away during earlier builds, this is a good moment to try the current version and experience the improvements directly.

The foundation is stronger. The systems are clearer. The direction is structured.

Your feedback continues to shape development priorities directly.
