Progression overhaul, multiplayer stability improvements, and structural updates
Over the past week, we shifted from rapid daily hotfixes to deeper structural improvements. This update focuses on resolving major progression blockers, strengthening multiplayer stability, and improving clarity across core systems.
With 0.6.11, we are moving into a weekly update cadence. This allows us to deliver larger and more meaningful improvements instead of smaller isolated fixes.
Progression and Tutorial
Resolved Issues
Fixed multiple mission steps that could appear complete but not finalize, blocking progression
Fixed Radar construction being blocked despite having the required materials
Fixed MAINFRAME installation not finalizing correctly
Fixed interaction terminals not responding to input during mission steps
Fixed cases where crafted items could remain suspended in the air when actions were performed rapidly
System Improvements
Adjusted early game battery and power flow to prevent circular dependency situations
Adjusted tutorial mission order for clearer progression
Improved objective clarity with more direct instructions
Active mission crafting requirements are now surfaced more clearly
Main Mission Improvements
Improved early game/tutorial objective clarity
Improved base establishment progression flow
Improved mid-game mission trigger reliability and sequencing
New Additions
Added a sub-objective system to clearly communicate step-by-step mission goals
Water Condensator added to the tutorial lander as part of the early progression flow
Multiplayer and Rover Stability
Resolved Issues
Fixed client oxygen draining faster than the host. Oxygen values are now properly synchronized between players
Fixed cases where joining players could spawn inside the host character
Fixed rover driving authority so non-host players can properly control the vehicle
Improved rover position synchronization so clients see consistent movement instead of teleporting behavior
Improved Reset Rover behavior at high speeds to prevent unintended physics issues
Fixed lobby camera issues affecting clients
Fixed rover screen errors occurring outside of gameplay
These changes significantly improve multiplayer consistency and reduce desynchronization issues during cooperative play.
Inventory and Crafting
Resolved Issues
Fixed inventory full notification not triggering reliably
Fixed analysis items not saving correctly
Fixed dismantled resources sometimes not being collectible
Fixed craft requirement slot inconsistencies
System Improvements
Improved craft panel clarity with visible scroll indicators
Improved inventory slot behavior consistency

System Improvements
Updated DPI scaling
Improved widget focus behavior
Adjusted cursor positioning
Improved mission indicator clarity
Localization updates across updated objectives
Art and World
Resolved Issues
Removed unintended road spline collisions
Added missing floor collision to the lander ship
System Improvements
Updated raw material models for clearer visual distinction
Improved ore visuals and differentiation
Art improvements will continue progressively.
Survival and Balance
System Improvements
Updated survival value consumption rates
Added a weather indicator to the HUD
Adjusted flashlight intensity for improved usability
Notes
0.6.11 represents a clear structural step forward. Major progression blockers have been addressed, multiplayer stability has improved significantly, and the tutorial flow has been clarified.
If you stepped away during earlier builds, this is a good moment to try the current version and see the changes directly.
Your reports continue to shape development priorities.
Weekly updates will allow us to keep improving at a steady and sustainable pace.
We are currently working with our partners on a public roadmap to provide more transparency about the future of Horizon Journey. There are still improvements to make, systems to expand, and content to deliver. Some of the most requested features, including sandbox mode, will be included in that roadmap. Terraforming remains part of our long-term vision for the project, and we will approach it step by step. Our goal is to move forward, update by update, until the experience fully matches what we set out to build.
