Each location plays a role in shaping the atmosphere of Breken House and the unfolding investigation surrounding it.

🏚️ Beneath the House

Some of Breken House’s secrets aren’t hidden in plain sight, far from it - they lie between the walls and beneath the floors.

In this scene, John navigates a narrow crawl space, pushing deeper into the hidden structure of the house. Exploring Breken House means more than simply walking its halls. Players will need to move through tight passages, forgotten compartments, and spaces never meant to be discovered.

To truly uncover what happened here, every nook and cranny may need to be explored… even if that means altering the house itself.

📂 The Clerk’s Office

At the police station, Gwen Porter pays a visit to the ever-busy Laura Holloway.

Laura manages the station’s records and clerical work, a constant stream of reports, files, and paperwork passing across her desk. Gwen arrives to discuss her findings at Bordon Down Asylum, hoping that something buried in the station’s records might help piece together the events surrounding the case.

It’s a quieter moment in the investigation, but an important one, where conversations and documentation can sometimes reveal as much as the places themselves.

This particular scene took roughly 50 hours of hand-drawn illustration, carefully building the room piece by piece to capture the lived-in feeling of a rural yet busy station office.

🕰️ Development Update

Development continues steadily behind the scenes.

Breken House itself has expanded significantly, with new rooms and hidden pathways now fully realized. At the same time, many scenes beyond the house are also nearing completion as the wider world of Hollow Mire continues to take shape.

Step by step, the story moves closer to the experience we want players to discover.

Thank you to everyone following the project and sharing their support along the way.

More soon.
