changedAdditions:The boss isn't complete fully yet, a furniture expansion is planned alongside it, but it could not be finished in time for an upcoming event so part 2 will come later.

Heroes For Hire is nearing content completion! This patch introduces the final boss, and with it, an actual way to beat the game! This is only part 1 of the final boss as I wanted to include a lot more along with it, but couldn't get it done in time for the sale.

Additions:

  • Dragging a Dimensional Key to the raid map now unlocks the final boss...

  • The boss isn't complete fully yet, a furniture expansion is planned alongside it, but it could not be finished in time for an upcoming event so part 2 will come later.

  • Does drop 'Antimatter' which can be crafted with magic, feather and scale dust to create 'Divine Dust.'

  • Which can be used with expert equipment braces and sharpening stones, results upgrade weapons/equipment. Will be used in future furniture as well.

  • Drops 3 relics.

  • Black Heart: Acts as an Orb of Infinity, but doesn't damage heroes. If crafted with antimatter, turns into a Blessed Heart that counteracts 1 cursed relic, and turns back into Black Heart when it breaks.

  • Universal Tear: When a hero takes damage, the enemy that dealt the damage will become cursed for a short period of time.

  • All Seeing Eye: When a hero misses their target, the next attack they deal will always deal critical damage.

  • New advanced service. Baron: Increases the chance of bosses appearing in your dungeon pool, and makes the two penultimate raids always appear in the pool if they can.

  • New bomb! Flash of Antimatter. Curses enemies.

  • Completion times have been added to the audit screen when the mission, and final boss have been completed.

Other Changes:

  • Expanded the "Get the ball rolling!" list slightly. Sorry, this probably breaks some older files.

  • Holding V now always speeds the game up to the max speed, no matter what.

  • Added the ability to move the map camera on raid popups.

  • Five star raids can no longer appear before the final boss is vanquished.

  • Tweaked the look of the Juggler set.

  • Projects now properly update the last raid button.

  • The prep button for raids no longer factors in levels, as it was messing things up.

  • Switched the order of the Sort dropdown on the Item Storage popup so that Item Type is now the first in the list.

Balance:

  • Small raids are now even smaller, while medium and large raids are slightly bigger.

  • Enemies now have less health in beginner raids.

  • The price of guide unlocks have dramatically reduced. Also fixed some functionality.

  • Tweaked enemy spawn mechanics slightly to try and make encounters fairer.

  • Key drops are now more common from both penultimate raids.

  • Increased the Crystal Queen's healing.

  • All chests/cabinets now provide 4 more inventory slots as a base.

  • Tweaked enemy spawn distribution on higher level Cave/Slime raids so that webs/slimes are more common at higher levels.

  • The Void Ritual totems have been nerfed.

  • Reduced the value of Raid Orders.

  • The Miner/Lumberjack shop now sells items for cheaper.

  • Holidays now occur far more often when playing Speedway Slums. You can now only ever hire one hero at a time as well.

  • Increased received healing from the Salmon Head.

  • The Incandescent Slime now cures status effects when a potion is used. Previous relic was too niche and commonly obsolete by the time it was obtained in my testing.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a potential crash caused by automatic crafting.

  • Furniture on tables are now drawn on tables, not on the ground.

  • Fixed a mismatch with project levels, which can no longer be level 5.

  • Fixed some issues caused by pausing on an exact frame while in a raid.

  • Fixed some mismatched guide entries.

  • Fixed scrapping Divine equipment, inside and outside of the crafting popup.

  • Spawned Bosses and Tended Hollows raids now start at the right level. This means it is no longer possible to cheese bosses early, sorry.

  • Orbs of Infinity can now break when returning from raids. Sorry this was always intended.

  • Bone Piles no longer save as Peaceful Lakes.

  • Moving items around in the Item Storage while it is full no longer spams messages.

  • Sharpening pristine equipment no longer degrades it.

  • Fixed some small oddities with moving popups.

  • Fixed some hover tooltip sizes.
