fixedA number of people have been contacting me saying that Grimdelve slows to a crawl after the intro cinematic plays. After finally delving deep enough in my attic to find an old laptop to test the game on, I can confidently say that I have now fixed this issue. Steam was giving me trouble uploading the fixed Mac build, but the Windows one is live and Mac will follow shortly. Below are the changes:
addedNew option called "Visual Effects" that when toggled to Off will remove weather effects and extra lighting effects. These seem to have been the root cause of the performance issues.
changedUpdated NW.js to version 72. This should keep the game playable on older devices while slightly improving performance.
changedThe game is still somewhat resource intensive and I will continue work to optimize and improve performance. If you run into performance issues, as always feel free to email me at toasty.rpgtime@gmail.com and let me know. I appreciate all of you who have filled out the in-game feedback form and/or emailed me to help me resolve these issues.
