Grimdelve changes
With build Version 0.1.9, the Grimdelve demo finally has everything in it that I want it to. It's now a solid representation of the full gameplay experience, which will build upon a number of the systems shown and deeply flesh out the game world. For this reason I'm moving it out of Alpha and into Beta, which doesn't really mean anything but sounds pretty official!
The demo is now a very polished work and I've spent a great deal of time ironing out bugs (although I'm sure there will be more). Past the content of the demo I have now developed about 1-1.5 hours of additional content and the story is very well fleshed out! Full changes listed below:
Fixed the issue with the cinematic video making the game unplayable
Fixed performance issues overall (hopefully)
Fixed the issue where you are instantly detected if you save and reload the save during stealth
Fixed the issue where the game might freeze upon entering Jaro's home
Fixed a number of spelling mistakes, text that went too long and looked weird, and grammar errors
Fixed the camera zoom not happening sometimes
Added a complete overhaul to the message window UI
Added a brand new puzzle section before Jaro enters Arx
Added unique artwork for each trait
Added face art for Mora, Odila, and Princess Glismut (non-essential characters also now have a stylized blurred portrait)
Added music in more scenes
Added small things to improve realism (too many I forgot what all I did)
Added other things probably!
I should be a better game dev and write everything down, but I like to free ball it. This is the best version of Grimdelve yet and likely where the demo will stay for a while. Give it a try if you've been waiting! Also, I'm pushing to release Grimdelve around summertime, but more news on that coming soon...
Happy cave diving, thanks for being a great community!
