changedHey Sproutling Fans! It's almost the end of 2025 and we can hear the Christmas carols around the corner, and what a year it’s been! Major updates, IRL events, milestones… Let’s look back at what we’ve achieved in 2025!
addedUpdatesMarch saw a major update for Green Again’s demo, featuring a whole new biome with a series of unique challenges. On this new map, not only do the Sproutlings need to protect themselves from wild drones harassing them, but they also need to fight back fires that threaten to burn down their home. The good news is, they have some new tools at their disposal, including the sprinkler building and new upgrades.
addedUpdatesThe Lore Tree was later introduced as a separate tech tree from the original one, intending to give you permanent boosts in every run. You can now collect Loreleaves from monoliths and objective completion to unlock permanent boosts to your colony. This brings progression to make each successive run easier to play, with the flexibility to reset and customize strategies and playstyles whenever you like.
addedUpdatesOther changes were also gradually introduced throughout the year. These include: an overlay UI giving you an easy way to access all the information of your colony; localizations in German, Japanese and Simplified Chinese to bring the Sproutlings to wider audience; new decorations to flesh out your settlements even more. Every addition pushes Green Again’s demo closer to completion.
addedEventsWith all the exciting new content and features, of course the Sproutlings need to show them to the world. And for that, they have travelled far this year to join events both online and offline.
changedEventsGamescom’s Indie Arena Booth has been an amazing experience. Showcasing Green Again alongside so many wonderful indie games and speaking to players from all over the world really gave the Sproutlings a memorable time and the motivation to keep working hard on their colonies!

Updates
March saw a major update for Green Again’s demo, featuring a whole new biome with a series of unique challenges. On this new map, not only do the Sproutlings need to protect themselves from wild drones harassing them, but they also need to fight back fires that threaten to burn down their home. Events
With all the exciting new content and features, of course the Sproutlings need to show them to the world. And for that, they have travelled far this year to join events both online and offline.
Gamescom’s Indie Arena Booth has been an amazing experience. Showcasing Green Again alongside so many wonderful indie games and speaking to players from all over the world really gave the Sproutlings a memorable time and the motivation to keep working hard on their colonies!
Soon after Germany, the Sproutlings joined Green Again’s publisher Slug Disco at Tokyo Game Show. This is the first time they set foot in Japan and they even learnt Japanese for the occasion!
Over the year, our Sproutlings also made an appearance in plenty of online events including Earth Appreciation Festival, Tacticon, and Tiny Teams. They were very pleased to share their work with so many players from around the world!
2025 has been a year of bountiful harvest for Green Again. The game has reached 20,000 wishlist in August, a major mile stone for a solo-dev indie game. We are very grateful for your support and feedback along the way, all of which have been most valuable for the game to grow and improve.
Right now, Mate is working on consolidating the game’s code and building a strong foundation for future content, as 2026 is going to be a big year for Green Again. Keep your eyes peeled for more news from Green Again on our socials, and we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
