Green Again changes
We hope you've been keeping hydrated through the start of this summer! As for us, the chlorophyll boost was exactly what we needed, and we've got several exciting things to share with you today!
New Key Art
That's right, Green Again just got new and improved art! Made once again by the talented Amy Robinson, this new piece shows off the robots in action, as well as the towers that will defend your Sproutlings against them! Check it out:
New Enemies
Meet the Carrier Bots! These ominous flying machines patrol the skies of high-value areas, ready to airdrop a full battalion of shock robot troops upon your unexpecting-under defended towns. Make sure you have towers ready to intercept them and deal with the troops they drop!
You might also remember the Builder Bots from last dev blog. They're now fully set up with animations, look at them go! I'm very happy with their jittery movements, you can almost feel the mechanical parts rattle under the hood. They'd almost look cute if they weren't turning the world into a metal hellscape!
New Threat Timeline
Another new addition is what we're calling the Threat Timeline. This new UI element will display upcoming environmental hazards, to give you a chance to prepare and defend your sproutlings without being caught unawares. The advantage of fighting an AI is that you can work out and predict its patterns like that!
And More!
On top of what we've shown today, Máté has been hard at work on the new Swamp area, which we'll hopefully be able to showcase next month. And, of course, your usual healthy helping of balance & QoL optimisations!
