Hello Chosen One(s),

In Good Heavens!, your base is more than just a place to drop a few crafting stations.

It is part of your journey through Xant-Rar. As you explore, gather resources, craft, fight, and help the world slowly recover from Rar’s questionable decisions, your base becomes the place you keep coming back to.

And like most things in Good Heavens!, it can start small before slowly turning into something much bigger than you planned.

Gathering & Building

Base building in Good Heavens! starts with the core loop: heading out into the world, gathering materials, and bringing them back to improve your setup.

That back-and-forth is a big part of the rhythm. You explore, collect what you need, return home, and turn those resources into something useful. Then you head back out again.

Sometimes with a plan. Sometimes not.

Building Your First Structures Steam post image

As your base expands, it starts to feel more like your own place in the world.

What starts as a small setup can slowly grow into something more complete, with different spaces taking shape as you keep progressing. Building is not just about placing a few walls, it is part of how your corner of Xant-Rar develops over time.

In co-op, this can also become its own little team dynamic. One player might focus on gathering, another on fighting, another on crafting, and someone else may spend most of the session making the base look better than strictly necessary.

That person is usually correct.

Farming Around the Base

Not every moment in Good Heavens! has to be chaos.

Farming adds a calmer rhythm between exploration, combat, quests, and whatever Rar has accidentally caused this time. It helps your base feel active and lived in, instead of just being a place to pass through.

It also fits the overall tone of Good Heavens! being more relaxed on the survival side. Food supports your stats instead of acting as a constant death timer, giving you more room to build, farm, and experiment at your own pace.

Your Base Taking Shape

When all of those pieces come together, your base starts to feel like more than a stop between adventures.

It becomes a space that reflects your progress through the game, a place shaped by gathering, building, farming, and everything in between. Whether you are playing solo or with friends, watching that space slowly come together is a big part of the satisfaction.

Whether you are here for the crafting, the co-op chaos, the RPG progression, or just the simple joy of building something of your own, we hope base building in Good Heavens! gives you a place that feels like yours.

Even if Rar definitely had no plan for any of this.
