Global Conflagration changes
Global Conflagration is back online with another demo! Over the past four months, we've worked hard to meet the objectives we set in our last update. While significant progress has been made on the campaign, it won’t be included in this demo—but rest assured, you’ll get to experience it all upon release! Key Updates:
Butcher’s Grip has received a complete facelift.
Frogmen now disable enemy optics, passively activating this ability on their fifth shot. Meanwhile, mortars have been upgraded with fragmentation rounds that slow the enemy on every second salvo they fire.
Infantry squad movement has been made more organic.
All airplanes now have larger loitering radiuses and will properly attack nearby enemies.
Smoke munitions have been added to Carpathia, replacing the Scan ability.
A railgun upgrade has been introduced for EDU’s Highlanders as a late-game unit upgrade. This upgrade converts the artillery into a high-power gun that deals AOE damage in a line after a slight warm-up.
Vanguard now has the option to upgrade their BUKs with Disrupting Technologies. This new upgrade allows them to spoof enemy commands for a brief period.
Carpathia received an upgrade to their Delta, transforming it into a drone carrier. These drones significantly extend its range and drop deadly explosives directly on top of enemy units.
Players now have the ability to host private lobbies.
AI improvements: The AI has been given more attention and will now take more unpredictable routes while better maintaining its recruiting options.
Introducing Our New Flagship Feature: The Dynamic Frontline This new system ties all checkpoints and their bounties into a self-monitoring biome that reacts to player behavior on the map. It calculates each player’s funds gained from checkpoints and their respective bounties, moving the highest bounty point towards the disadvantaged player, thus reflecting the realities happening on the battlefield.
Currently this system is only available on the Butcher's Grip map. As it matures it will be present on the rest of the maps.
Benefits of the Dynamic Frontline:
Minimizes the snowballing effects caused by checkpoints.
Keeps the map fresh by exploring a different scenario every time
Provides defensive players with more opportunities to make a comeback.
Visually reflects the balance of power between players.
