New Core Systems

League System & Progression

The Ludus now competes on a larger stage.

  • New League Combat system introduced

  • Multi-tier progression with up to 4 leagues

  • Each school sends multiple gladiators into a battle royale-style fight

  • Maximum scale: up to 20 gladiators in a single league match

  • Schools now follow combat styles, focusing on specific stances or attributes

This will help address the core issue of repetitive structure.

Tournament Changes

  • Tournament system remains intact

  • Now occurs on Day 5 and every 10 days after

Combat Improvements

  • Combat animations improved for better fluidity

  • Multiple hit reactions added

  • Fixed jittering when gladiators move slowly

  • General combat performance increased

Sponsorships & Titles

Sponsorships

  • Added 3 sponsorship opportunities

  • Can provide:

    • Gold bonuses

    • XP boosts

    • Upkeep removal

Career Titles (Player Gladiators)

10 titles can now be earned through performance:

  • Big Loser 10+ losses −10 Charisma

  • Scarred 5+ losses −5 Charisma, +15% Protection

  • Undefeated 10+ wins, 0 losses +5 Charisma

  • Titan Slayer 1+ boss kill +5 Strength

  • Tournament Champion Tournament win, <3 losses +3 Agility

  • Gate Gremlin 25+ wins, at least 1 loss +3 Charisma, +5% Protection

  • Blood Accountant 10+ kills +5 Strength

  • Purse Snatcher

    5000 gold earned

    +3 Charisma

  • Streaker 5+ kill streak +3 Agility

  • Championship Hangover Tournament win, 3+ losses +2 Charisma, −2 Agility

Systems & Balance

  • Removed the 50/50/50 stat cap

  • Scouts still generate up to 50/50/50

  • Titles and milestone rewards can now push beyond this

Gladiator Classes (Ongoing Work)

Data is now being collected on class performance.
