This update focuses mainly on bug fixes, quality of life improvements, trait cleanup, training fixes, inventory polish, and combat reliability.
Existing saves are compatible.
Fixes & Improvements
Fixed a training assignment issue where traits that increased a gladiator’s max potential could incorrectly stop that stat from being trained.
Fixed Ethnicity and trait training bonuses not stacking correctly in some cases.
Fixed recovery notifications appearing incorrectly when an injury was healed on the same day.
Fixed maxed stats still receiving XP bonuses and rolling XP over incorrectly.
Fixed Killer trait not always applying correctly.
Fixed Reckless trait display so its damage effect is clearer.
Fixed shortcut keys triggering while renaming gladiators. (although space still triggers confirm)
Fixed inventory tooltip overlap issues, especially around spear items.
Fixed spear images not appearing correctly on the post combat scene when taken from defeated enemies.
Fixed some auto-equip issues where classes could did not into account class bonuses
Fixed Hall of Fame removal incorrectly creating a Fallen notification.
Fixed management screen button layout issues.
Fixed tournament skip calculation logic.
League battles and tournaments now give Prestige rewards.
Scout comparison has been improved so upgrades and downgrades are easier to understand.
General UI cleanup and multiple smaller fixes.
Re-organised inventory layout
General minor bug fixes
Balance & Trait Work
Some trait/crit chance/damage balance has been adjusted based on player feedback.
The goal is to keep traits impactful without making negative traits feel unfair or purely punishing. I will continue refining this over time based on testing and feedback.
Closing
This update is mostly cleanup, but it fixes several important issues that were affecting training, combat, inventory, and long-term progression.
Thanks again to everyone reporting bugs and giving balance feedback. It helps a lot, especially with systems like traits where real player builds expose problems much faster than internal testing.
More balance work, personality systems, relationships, and morale are still planned.
