Get Mazed changes
We are thrilled to deploy this new update for GET MAZED. On the agenda: a brand new way to play cooperatively against the environment, a major overhaul of combat mechanics, and numerous visual improvements.
Here are the full details of the changes:
New Game Modes
- "SurvivorEscape" ModeAdded a cooperative game mode (PvE). Players must escape the maze together, without a human opponent.
Solo Mode: Ability to start a game alone via the SurvivorEscape mode.
Adjustable Difficulty: The SurvivorEscape mode offers 4 difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Impossible.
Gameplay and Combat
Shield (Rework): The shield is now an automatic passive.
One-handed weapon: Automatically blocks frontal attacks.
Two-handed weapon: Automatically blocks back attacks.
Bow: Shooting is now automatic for easier use. Arrows have a 50% chance to pierce enemies.
Fire: Fire damage now spreads to enemies close to the target.
Invisibility Potion: Now works correctly on AI enemies (they lose aggro).
Balancing
- Durability (SurvivorEscape)Weapon durability increased by 100% in this specific mode.
- DaggerRange increased (80 -> 110).
- FlailDamage increased (1 -> 2).
- HammerAdjusted animation recovery timing (0.2 -> 0.6).
- Enemies (Knights)Added tenacity (resistance to interruption) for the Dark Knight and the Knight.
- Zone 1 SpawnersIncreased the number of item spawn points.
Visuals and Audio
- HitStopAdded a micro-pause effect on impacts with heavy weapons (Sword, Axe, Hammer) to accentuate the feeling of power.
- Visual Effects (VFX)Updated weapon trails, added blood particles on hit enemies, and added an option to disable blood.
Visual Feedback:
Added a colored flash on the character model (players and enemies) upon impact.
Added an effect on gold coins to improve their visibility on the ground.
- EnvironmentRemoved barbican-style decorations to improve readability.
Audio: Global adjustment of music mixing.
Economy
Rewards: Eliminating enemies now directly grants rewards.
- ChestsAdded interactive chests containing gold scattered throughout the maze.
Bug Fixes
- TridentFixed hit detection not activating on certain enemies.
- AIFixed certain malfunctions in enemy patrols.
