──────────────────────── NEW FEATURES ────────────────────────

Class Abilities

  • BIG rework this week. Read the full article here.

  • Every adventurer now rolls a unique passive and active ability from their class pool. Two heroes of the same class can wield entirely different signature skills — and the rarer the roll, the stronger the skill. Rarity ranges from Common all the way to Epic, with quality driven by potential, so Academy investment improves the odds of rare abilities.

  • Your existing roster keeps the abilities it already had — only fresh recruits, graduates, and free agents roll new ones, so no veteran is downgraded.

  • Abilities now fire everywhere combat happens — quests, raids, the Tower, the Crown Cup, and rival challenges. Rivals roll abilities too, so scouting their kit finally tells you something real, and their own quest and raid outcomes reflect the skills they carry.

  • Crowd control is now a genuine strategic axis. Stuns, freezes, slows, and roots don't just blunt enemy attacks — they sap the enemy's effective power, making fights flat-out easier to win. Control-bruiser classes like the Earth Shaman and the Warden are built around it.

Skill Reawakening

  • Unhappy with a hero's rolled ability? You can now re-roll a single slot through Skill Reawakening. Every re-roll is keep-or-take — you see the new option side by side with the old one and never lose a good skill against your will.

  • Tomes of Awakening drop from successful raids (8%). Use one on an adventurer to grant a Reawaken charge, then re-roll a passive or active from their class banner.

  • A new building, The Wellspring, unlocks the Mastery Path — the earned re-roll. Pair a protégé with a mentor, then prove the protégé in the field: clear quests under the mentor's captaincy and raids with the mentor in the squad to earn a Reawaken charge through deeds alone. Each path's objectives are personalized to the protégé's talent and ambition — gifted heroes prove themselves faster, while grander ambitions demand more.

Academy

  • New Academy Career Track: aim a trainee at a specific graduation class. The Academy develops them toward it — but it's never a guaranteed lock. Cross-role targets must first convert their role over multiple semesters, resisted by the prospect's natural affinity, and the final graduation roll always keeps a little variance. A live odds panel shows your on-track chance and suggests how to improve it (Elective Studies and matching instructors).

The Wiki

  • A full in-game Wiki is now live on the website, the Great Sage's knowledge on the web. It covers Systems & Mechanics, Buildings, Factions, Stats, Traits & Flaws, Zodiac signs, Materials, Crafting, Ambitions, Rival Guilds, and the Tower Bestiary. Global search spans every section, and the whole thing is localized across 18 languages.

  • New interactive Party Simulator: drag and drop five classes to see exactly which synergies and bonuses that composition unlocks, matching the game's own synergy math.

Site Hub

  • The website is now a proper franchise hub with a unified header linking the Game, Book, Soundtrack, Wiki, and more, plus a new Timeline page laying out the saga's events on a single canonical axis.

──────────────────────── QUALITY OF LIFE ────────────────────────

  • Gear names now localize into your chosen language — procedurally-generated names, crafted item names, and equipment set names all read in your language, including proper grammatical agreement. Existing gear in your save localizes too.

  • The Treasurer can now triage the flood of inbound trade offers for you. Enable the Trade Desk in Markets → Treasurer to auto-accept clearly-favorable material deals (within a gold budget you set) and auto-decline clearly-unfavorable ones, leaving the middle ground for your call. Adventurer and poaching offers are never auto-handled.

  • The Guild Block now supports multiple named shortlists beyond Favorites, so you can organize the rivals you're watching into separate curated lists.

  • Click the highlighted green loadout slot to equip the item you've selected — the obvious target now works, not just the side button.

  • The relocation note on the Treasury ledger is now a clickable link that jumps you straight to the Treasurer panel in Markets.

  • Renamed adventurers now show their nickname on the New Game+ carryover screen instead of their old name.

  • The Training Log badge now counts only unread entries and clears when you view the log, instead of sticking at its cap.

  • The Royal Armory / Military Arsenal section now stays visible when you filter the faction vendor to Gear or Consumables.

  • Feed alerts about rivals scouting a free agent or signing a recruit now deep-link straight to that adventurer's dossier or the rival's guild profile.

  • Released graduates now count as a neutral placement rather than a rejection, so a develop-and-sell playstyle no longer drags your Academy reputation down.

  • The Class Field Guide now has a Recommended Gear panel for each class.

──────────────────────── BALANCE ────────────────────────

  • Deliberately stingy trade offers are now always rejected outright. Any offer whose chance falls below the floor shows "Will Reject" before you submit, so spamming lowballs can no longer occasionally slip through.

  • The Floor-30 Surface Dungeon Crisis now enforces its one-commitment rule: once you fully commit to a faction, the Full Commitment option is locked for the others. You can no longer collect every faction's full reward at once.

  • Rivals carrying damage passives are now modestly stronger in their own quest and raid outcomes.

──────────────────────── BUG FIXES ────────────────────────

  • Fixed the Steam demo not actually stopping at the Year-1 hard wall — demo players could previously keep advancing into Year 2 and beyond.

  • The web demo now lives at its own /demo/ address, so the marketing landing page no longer gets taken over by the game on refresh.

  • Fixed a portrait reverting to a placeholder in the Guild Dossier for adventurers acquired from rivals after they'd aged across an age bracket.

  • Fixed the Guild Commander's weekly commentary occasionally printing raw code instead of readable text.

  • The Granary's seasonal harvest description now matches what it actually does (a +25% Autumn gathering bonus).

  • Multiplayer now gives an honest, actionable message when a league can't be found on the server, instead of telling you to keep retrying forever.
