Furcifer's Fungeon changes
We wish you a Happy New Year! Over the holidays we've polished the heck out of the demo.
This patch brings a lot of visual improvements, balancing tweaks and even cool new features!
Take a look at your inventory during a run, you can now find a damage meter there, giving you more insight into how much damage you dealt with your spells and items. The leaderboard runcards also include a damage meter from now on.
We also added a ton of options such as the CRT effect to customize your Fungeon experience!

New Features:
DAMAGE METER is now shown during & after the run. It also shows for runs in the leader board
Added retro CRT scanline shader to options
Resistances now stack multiplicatively (50% + 50% = 75%), floor-wise reduction is removed, and resistance cap is removed
- Added optionsSeasonal talents can all be enabled, disabled or seasonal. Text speed can be adjusted. Damage numbers for crits can now also be turned off.
Fixes:
Fixed “Overwhelming Power” not increasing in size
Block values were displayed with diminishing returns already applied, which was hard to understand. It now shows the correct (higher) amount
Fixed sunstrike collision being flipped 90°
Fixed a bug where bees were sometimes falsely being spawned as summons (and therefore taking damage and giving no gold)
Fixed wands/dash in esc-menu having the interactable cursor despite not being interactable
Fixed a crash when clicking an item on the Fungeon ticket
Fixed trees being hit by the spikes in the miniboss room
Fixed a tooltip remaining on screen
Balance: General
Increased player base movespeed by 10%
Rescaled the enemy maximum number to be lower early game and higher late game, reduced the cast speed and movement speed of late game enemies to compensate
Reduced tree collision size
Spells:
Reworked Ball Lightning: damage per tick is higher, tick rate lower, the ball is smaller, bounces more and moves differently. The ball can be detonated ever 5s for an much stronger explosion.
Shock Hands: hitbox now extends more towards the player to hit stuff below you, knockback now goes away from the player
- Poison Spraynow applies knockback away from the player instead of from the telegraph middle. Also increased knockback from 100 to 150 per tick.
- Fireboltreduced knockback 300 -> 250
Items
Icicle Spear: projectile now has full size earlier, cooldown 3s -> 2s, damage 70 -> 100 to compensate
Trinkets max health modifier 25 -> 40
Talents
- Soul of the Honey Badgernow additionally reduced damage taken for 3s when dropping below 50% hp
- Phoenix Badgernow shoots a flame nova when it activates, heal increased from 35% -> 50%
Skeleton base damage reduced from 70 to 60
- Necromasterybonus damage reduced from 50 to 40 (they should still deal good damage…)
Friend Combustion: damage 75 -> 100
Critical Zap: cooldown now is target-wise, making it much better aoe
- Evasivenessnow also triggers on block, removed cooldown. Now gives +5 agility instead of +20% movespeed
Gold Conductor: now gives attack speed instead of dash rate, bonus 30 -> 100, duration 1s -> 0.3s
Improved Descriptions:
Dragon Tail now mentions the number of flames
Improved the amount of information in wand tooltips
Added additional keywords for burn and freeze with tooltips
Visuals:
Leaf particles now do not spawn in the tutorial
Improved some items
Improved Venom Spit
Improved Sword particles
Skeleton critical hits damage numbers are now colored red and play the crit animation
Reduced shotgun screenshake
Added a popup message when you are too poor to buy an item from the Fungeon Report
- TooltipsAdded an underline to highlight keywords that can be hovered for a tooltip
Talent icons are reactively downscaled instead of spilling over their boxes
Improved talent icon shader
Restructured the esc menu
Reorganized Options menu
Improved the UI buttons
Juiced up the leaderboard
Hovered Leaderboard entries now respond more, added a magnifying glass icon with a hint at the run cards
