changedLunar Station has fully arrived! An arcade board which takes place on a moon facility consisting of several biomes habitats. The objective of the game is moving around the board while acquiring batteries from the vendors. There are four types of tiles: Blue (get money), Red (subtract money), green (event: change the position of barriers) and yellow (shops and other minor events). Two shops are available with six different items, check notes for 0.39 and 0.40 for a description.
changedVersion 0.38 Changelog - Creation of base board for Lunar Station. (So much work in so few words) - Implementation of the needed changes in main menu to allow board selection, both in offline and offline modes. - Implementation of the needed changes in board scripts to allow a more arcade gameplay compared to Hexagon Island (P.e. dices not allowing a double turn or boards allowing several directions). - Implementation of blue and red tiles, which will give or take money from the player respectively. - Implementation of event tiles which will allow more dynamic boards (In the case of Lunar Station, the board events will cycle the barriers present in the game which will force players’ direction). Future boards will have more varied events. - Implementation of battery buying behaviours, vendor relocation when one battery is acquired, etc. - Made changes to Lunar Station UI to reflect the batteries each player owns. - Implementation of a winner event at the end of the selected turns.
changedVersion 0.39 Changelog - Basic AI (bots) implementation. - Implementation of the needed interactable menus in Lunar Station: use item, player selection for certain items targeting, battery buy event, keycard use event and both shops navigation. - Implementation of the first shop and all the scripting behind item use and online synchronization. - Implementation of the first three items in Lunar Station and all the derived scripting behaviours from them: - A smoothie drink which will allow a player to increase the dice result by 4 (may change it and make it random between 1-6, like throwing an extra dice) - A sour lime drink which will allow a player to select another player and decrease their dice result by 3. - A quantum drink which will teleport a player directly to a battery spot, note that it costs 1.5k money and players should still have the required money for buying the battery (2k).
addedVersion 0.40 Changelog - Implementation of at least some basic UI events when using an item. - Implementation of a second shop in the top-right part of the board. - Implementation of three new items: - A barrier control device which will allow a player to cycle the board’s barriers at the start of a turn. - A golden magnet which will allow a player to steal a battery from another player (it’s expensive though) - A keycard item. (Read below) - Implementation of a central bridge in Lunar Station which can be accessed with the keycard item, this new path will allow a player to roll a machine for a chance to win something good (inclusive a whopping battery!) - AI will buy and use items somehow wisely.
fixedChanges not related to board: - Implementation of a more solid behaviour for Lava Parkour and Samurai Climb which should fix the players sometimes disappearing issue. - Fixed an issue in Bombing Garden in which AI would crash when grabbing the roll restore item. - Fixed non-working energy backpacks of new characters in Solar Energy. - Implemented new AI for Sky Pillars which feels more organic but will require some tweaking. Also want to give this minigame a graphic face wash soon - Fixed wrong teleporting effect in Hexagon Island. - Camera won't rotate anymore when a minigame starts but will still approach a player. This change was implemented due to some motion sickness complaints. Related to this expect some smooth camera animations at the start of each minigame soon. - Fixed an issue in which players would move when paused in games like Roll and Roll or the rolling wheels of Lava Parkour.
