To hold you over, we present a new field test map that was suggested quite a bit by our community, Fjord Conquest! Instead of pushing the enemy back or protecting your position surrounded by gorgeous frosty nature, conquer every snowy point and deplete enemy reinforcements until they’re forced to wave the white flag.
changedQuality of Life & More PCVR Enhancements!Steam post imageTeam balancing has finally made it into the game, together with a bunch of smaller things to tweak and improve user experience in Forefront. For example, the KLAV-6 has gotten another nerf at great request from our community, some UI polish makes Rush and Conquest objective notifications more readable, engineers will now see repair icons for vehicles, and much more. Discover all tweaks and improvements in the changelog below this post or in our Discord. Additionally, from improved water visuals, to SSAO, and Bloom. Even more PCVR Enhancements have made it into Forefront, all with options to disable and enable to your heart’s content. And great news, because we’re still not done and have a couple more enhancements in the works.

New Field Test Map | Fjord Conquest!

Steam post imageOur team is still hard at work crafting a brand-new map. To hold you over, we present a new field test map that was suggested quite a bit by our community, Fjord Conquest! General

  • Updated the whiteboard in the main menu

  • Added repair icon for Engineers on vehicles that dip below 50% of their HP

  • Added magazine height slider to the setting to adjust its position on player body

  • Added effect for a player to see if they themself are invincible

  • Added invincibility getting removed once moving 5 meters (or more) from a player’s spawn position

  • Improved systems regarding network bandwidth

  • Improved CPU and Memory performance

  • Fixed spawning under the map upon vehicle exit

  • Fixed destroyed vehicles being able to push a player into objects

  • Fixed reticle color settings reverting to default after each game session

  • Fixed showing blood coming out of target when in reality not dealing any damage

  • Fixed displaying the wrong character skin when getting revived after changing teams

  • Fixed post-match server shutdown text appearing without the server shutting down

  • Fixed unlocking DLC while in-game not refreshing the arsenal view

  • Fixed being rewarded for an enemy’s point capture

  • Fixed 4-digit friend code restriction resulting in not being able to add players with 5-digit friend codes

Weapons & Attachments

  • Added granting XP for players who destroyed enemy C4

  • Increased spread on the KLAV-6 by 100%

  • Increased emission on iron sights, making them a bit easier to use

  • Fixed jumpshotting being 100% accurate

  • Fixed inaccurate rifle recoil alignment causing not being able to keep target in scope while racking

  • Fixed player being able to equip the Early Access skin despite not owning it

  • Fixed combat bow’s random offset for regular aiming

  • Fixed combat bow position lock after releasing nocked arrow

  • Fixed combat bow tracking loss

Gadgets & Perks

  • C4 damage falloff now starts at 0 meters instead of 3

  • C4 now deals 30 minimum damage instead of 20 at max range to compensate for its falloff starting immediately

  • Added a green fresnel when a player gets stimmed

  • Improved zipline placement

  • Fixed nearly invisible drones over long distances

  • Fixed drone offset when using head rotation

  • Fixed false death state getting triggered by killing a player who was being stimmed

  • Fixed still hearing the drone when in drone view upon loading into the next map

Vehicles

  • Added vehicles taking damage over time when abandoned, pausing the vehicle self-destruction timer when player comes within proximity

  • Fixed helicopter physical control regression

  • Fixed APC machine gun not using the water splash effect when shooting water

  • Fixed team-killing by exiting a vehicle before it runs over a teammate

  • Fixed vehicle weapons firing while pressing trigger in the settings menu

Maps

  • Tweaked timers for Rush maps so that attackers can no longer get to the objectives before the defenders can even get onto the point

  • Fixed respawn beacon being deployable inside the light cage on Fjord resulting in trapped players

  • Fixed out-of-bounds glitch near boat HQ on Paradise

  • Fixed glitching through the deck floor on Clearwater

  • Fixed invisible respawn beacon placement underwater on Clearwater

  • Fixed APC floating on Point A that would fall down when a player entered on Siberia

  • Fixed helicopters being able to fly under the map in Siberia

Training Grounds

  • Fixed helicopter freezing midair when switching from pilot to passenger seat

UI

  • Added UI polish to Rush and Conquest objective notifications

  • Added better server sorting with best ping servers and servers with open spots displaying at the top of the server browser

  • Added arrow buttons to cycle through sights in the sights color picker menu

  • Improved in-game settings menu UI

  • Fixed friendly APC not being green on the spawn map

  • Fixed localization overflow in various places
