FluxWerks v0.2.9 — 10-06-2026
New Features
Elevator — a new logistics building that moves items vertically.
Building-to-building transfer — inserters and fluid pumps can now move items and fluids directly between two adjacent buildings. Placing an inserter between two buildings automatically connects them. Fluid pumps connect automatically to adjacent buildings or pipes.
Improvements
Repeat Fill/Replace — a new hotkey (default Z) and toolbar button re-activate your last fill or replace with the same material and settings, skipping the material picker.
Quick insert and quick take (Ctrl+Left/Right-click on buildings) can now be held — sweep the cursor across a row of buildings to fill or empty them all without clicking each one. Hold both buttons at once to do both in one pass, e.g. refilling a row of foundries while pulling their finished output.
Mining-designation nanobots now work the blocks nearest you first instead of always starting from the bottom of the marked area.
Build rotation memory — directional buildings (inserters, fluid pumps, and more) now keep your last rotation when you reselect them instead of resetting to the default facing, matching the belt tool.
Rotate clockwise — a second rotation key (default T) turns buildings and belts the opposite way while placing; R still rotates counter-clockwise. The belt/pipe mode-switch key has moved to G.
Bug Fixes
Fixed the construction cost tooltip not showing your current inventory amounts.
Fixed deleting an inventory stack with Alt+Right-click also transferring items into an open storage on release.
Fixed the Environment Visuals graphics setting also disabling the heat, pollution, and wetness overlays.
Fixed cloud drift speeding up and getting jittery over long play sessions, especially in high winds.
Fixed camera sensitivity and render distance reverting to defaults when loading a save from within a game.
Fixed the animated belt surface disappearing at certain camera angles after a belt was extended or modified.
Fixed clicks on UI panels and buttons falling through to the world — e.g. picking a belt in the build menu no longer also places one behind the panel.
Fixed tooltips getting stuck on screen after closing a panel with ESC while hovering an item.
Fixed the connection icons shown while placing inserters and fluid pumps being hard to see when viewed from directly above.
Fixed movement controls being out of sync with the camera after loading a save from within a game.
Balance Changes
Storage MK 2 slot count increased from 16 to 24.
FluxWerks v0.2.8 — 09-06-2026
New Features
Overworld Map — A new scrollable, top-down map of the world. Open it with M or the Map button on the minimap.
Shows the terrain of everywhere you've explored, with unexplored areas left as fog.
Pan by dragging or with the arrow keys, zoom with the scroll wheel, and snap back to yourself with Center.
Pins: drop a labelled marker anywhere with Add pin, edit or delete pins, and use the Pins list to jump straight to any of them.
The map is a movable, resizable window — cycle Large / Medium / Small with the Size button and drag it by its header bar.
Explored areas, pins, and the window's size and position are all saved with your game.
Metal Building Blocks — Cast your refined metals into solid, placeable blocks. Iron, Copper, and Steel blocks can now be crafted from ingots and placed in the world like Concrete.
Improvements
Build menu cards for Boilers and Steam Turbines now show their water/steam use rates.
Pipe segments now remember the last fluid that passed through them — when a pipe empties too quickly to read its temperature, the inspector and tooltip keep showing the last fluid type and temperature (a visual hint only; it never affects fluid behaviour).
Bug Fixes
Fixed UI text fields (save name, map pins, and others) losing focus and moving the player when typing letters like W, A, S or D — typing now stays in the field.
FluxWerks v0.2.7 — 09-06-2026
Improvements
Router & Inserter Overlays — The in-world configuration controls are easier to read.
Extractors now raise a warning notification when they run out of resources.
Bug Fixes
Fixed filtered inserters causing items on a belt to vanish or jump to the end of the belt whenever an item that didn't match the filter passed by — over time this could also crash the game.
Fixed coolers getting permanently stuck in the "output blocked" state once their output backed up — they now resume automatically after the output is drained, instead of requiring a reload or rebuild.
Fixed fluid extractors staying permanently depleted after pumping their area dry — they now periodically re-check and resume automatically once fluid flows back in.
Fixed production buildings endlessly consuming inputs during a computing deficit when their output was full.
FluxWerks v0.2.6 — 08-06-2026
New Features
Weather Affects Solar — Solar panels now generate less power in bad weather: output drops to 50% during Rain and 25% during Storms.
Improvements
Automatic Batteries — Batteries now always discharge after solar but before burning fuel, so cheap stored energy is always spent before fuel is consumed. Battery behavior is fully automatic and the per-battery priority slider has been removed.
Power Panel — The Global Power Grid panel now breaks production down by source (Solar, Battery, Other), shows your currently-available Spare Capacity.
Belt & Pipe Construction — Greatly improved automatic pathing for belts and pipes construction.
Bug Fixes
Fixed the power grid sometimes reporting a tiny phantom surplus or deficit (a few watts) even when production and consumption were perfectly balanced.
Fixed the boiler refusing to work when supplied with water that was already at steam temperature.
Fixed Heat Sinks and Coolers outputting absurdly hot water (up to ~700 °C).
Fixed mouse targeting being slightly off on non-symmetrical buildings.
Fixed tools getting stuck in odd states when quickly switching between them.
Fixed an incorrect sorting order in a tooltip.
