Fatemender changes
Folks, we got a big one for you this week. As of this version, all unlockables will be available for playtesters once the demo content (the first eight Threads) are complete. That means all four decks, all four packs, and all twelve Artifacts will be available to test! Get a taste of the full game and help us improve and balance it before the demo release!
Want to join the playtest? Join our Discord at https://wtchcrft.com/discord to request a key and try Fatemender free today. Press and streamers can also reach out by email and we'll hook you up.
Without further ado, here's the contents of version 0.4.11, the Curse update!
New Features
Full unlock of decks and artifacts for playtesters! Now, when you complete the playtest stages and unlock the Fractal Abyss, all four decks & packs and all twelve artifacts will be completely unlocked! Hopefully, this will allow us to test and tweak how they all interact in the Fractal Abyss.
Deck Perks for the remaining two decks have been implemented!
Choramancy: MISTFORM: Whenever a Tile changes position or type, it has a 20% chance of becoming a Mist.
Odomancy: SLOW DECAY: Whenever you place a Path, place a Shield Token on its Tile.
The 8 remaining Artifacts have been reimplemented to allow leveling!
Worn Tent
L1: When the Weaver is on a Meadow, you no longer need to discard a Card during the End Phase for having Movement Points remaining.
L2
When the Weaver is on a Meadow, Maze, or Mountain, you no longer need to discard a Card during the End Phase for having Movement Points remaining.
L3
You no longer need to discard a Card during the End Phase for having Movement Points remaining.
Ancient Tome: Once/twice/three times per Thread, select a Tile with a Path. Add an Exit at random to that Path. (Using it on a four-way Path creates a Portal).
Azure Thread: Once/twice/three times per Thread, look at the top five cards of the Deck. You may place them at the bottom of the Deck.
Crafter’s Belt: Once/twice/three times per Thread, select a Tile. Place a Shield Token on that Tile.
Gnarled Staff: Once/twice/three times per Thread, return the cards in your hand to the bottom of the Deck. Then, draw that number of cards.
Ritual Lantern
All levels: Increase the Weaver’s vision radius by one.
L2
Once per Thread, activate Ritual Lantern to select a Tile. Flip that Tile.
L3
Twice per Thread, activate Ritual Lantern to select a Tile. Flip that Tile.
- Weighted CoinThe chance a coin will land on Heads is increased by 10%/25%/40%
Replaced Folding Canoe with Trick Mirror: Place a Decoy token on a face-up Landscape Space. The next 1/2/3 effects that randomly choose a Space will choose the Space with the Decoy, if possible.
Portals: Now, under certain conditions, Portals can appear on Landscape Tiles. They may lead the Weaver to unexpected regions of the Landscape...
New Card: WORMHOLE (Odomancy, Legendary): Summon a Portal on a face-up Tile.
The Curse joins the cast! Now, drawing the Curse during Threads will play scenes and music featuring The Curse, an owl boy with a tragic past and present. Can he be convinced to share what he knows about the Labyrinth despite the consequences?
Balance Changes
Numismancy deck perk changed to draw 2 additional cards at the start of each thread (up from 1)
Added an "easy" difficulty to The Curse (25% greater chance of tails)
Added The Curse and removed the Scales from Eirenic Temple's fate pool (stage 6)
UI & gameplay changes
Locked decks are now shown as a transparent outline w/lock icon on the Deck selection screen
Shorter epigraph scene when starting new game
Added a pulse animation to artifacts selected on the Level Select screen to make it clearer which artifacts are selected
