Fatemender changes
Fatemender Public Playtest Update 6 is live, featuring some major new features, including The Trickster character and story sequences and Deck Perks, a major change to how Decks work in the game. Check out the full patch notes below!
We are drawing near to the end of this first Playtest. We plan to release two more feature updates before closing it and doing final polish for the demo release. (Playtesters won't have their access revoked, but we will stop accepting new signups.) Thanks so much to all of our playtesters for your valuable feedback and suggestions! Fatemender gets better every week thanks to all of you.
New Features
- The Trickster storyThe Trickster joins the cast! When encountering the Trickster in a Temple or in the Fractal Abyss, all-new story sequences will play, accompanied by new music and character art. The Trickster offers the Weaver secret knowledge about the Labyrinth, but can they be trusted?
Deck Perks: Introducing Deck Perks, special powers unique to each deck. So far Perks for the two demo decks have been implemented. In their current forms they represent significant buffs to both decks, but they will be tweaked for balance as time goes on.
Numismancy: NUMBERS GAME: Draw an additional card at the beginning of the first turn of each Thread.
Psychomancy: ASTRAL PROJECTION: Whenever the Weaver moves to another Tile without spending Movement Points, if there are at least 3 cards in the Discard Pile, return the bottom two cards of the Discard Pile to the bottom of the Deck.
Cloud Save: Cloud Save is now supported via Steam! Save and config files now sync across all supported platforms (Windows/Linux/SteamOS/macOS)
Balance Changes
- Numismancy DeckRegain Strength has been renamed to Conjuration. Signature Spell is now Conjuration, added one copy of Conjuration and removed one copy of Spectral Steed
UI & gameplay changes
Added SFX to the Warden (padlock unlock/lock for Tutorial, chain effect when activated)
Added more animations to our beloved guide, Blinkus
More story segments for the Lord, Dead Man, and Warden can now trigger in the Fractal Abyss
Redesigned Tooltips for Level Select screen, tooltips now display when using keyboard or gamepad
Added additional tutorial text to Pattern 3-2
Bugfixes
Fixed a bug where Undoing a movement action from the Tile the Lost Card/Snoot was previously on would return the Lost Card/Snoot to the Tile incorrectly
Fixed a bug where the Weaver's animation would freeze after Undoing a movement action
Fixed a bug where cell highlights were not visible on cells affected by The Night
