Thank you all for your reception of Farever. We have been very overwhelmed by the number of players joining us during the first days of Farever’s release and, as some of you could see, our servers have been overwhelmed as well.

Since launch, we’ve been continuously working on improving stability, fixing bugs, and expanding our server infrastructure across all world regions. Here is a more technical recap of what has actually been done:

Upgrades

We upgraded the database configuration with advanced optimizations and moved the database to a more powerful standalone server.

Memory Leaks

We fixed a number of leaks in our server reporting procedures that led to gradually increasing server load and eventually causing crashes.

Load Balancing

We improved our load balancing systems to ensure each layer only receives the number of players it can currently handle. We will progressively increase these limits as we continue upgrading performance.

We also fixed several bugs in our server deployment and monitoring systems.

Our work continues

We have not yet reached the level of stability that Farever deserves, and we will continue working on improving the servers so we can achieve the best possible performance, alongside fixes and improvements to the game itself. We will also provide a patch with more fixes and QoL later this week!

Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding. Please continue enjoying the game and sharing your feedback with us!

Best regards,
