fixedJune has been a really good Month for the Game, the playtests have helped improve things alot. Not only have i fixed several bugs that were reported during the Playtests but also improved the World Editor Features thanks to the feedback.
changedSeamless WorldThis was requested by alot of people across Discord and Reddit and i finally tackled the challenge. The World is now completely seamless and you can zoom out to the max - enhancing the feel of the world.
changedBetter Draw PerformanceDrawing has been optimized to the point where even the biggest radius size runs on stable 60 fps. this has been achieved by reworking the Layer System of the World Editor, more on that later.
fixedFluent DrawingDrawing is now fluent as you were using a real painting tool. Before higher mouse movement would break the fluent drawing. This is now fixed!
changedNew Layer SystemBiome Layer (put biome type on the land)
changedNew Layer SystemGround Overlay (put ground variations on any biome)

This was requested by alot of people across Discord and Reddit and i finally tackled the challenge. The World is now completely seamless and you can zoom out to the max - enhancing the feel of the world.

Better Draw Performance

Drawing has been optimized to the point where even the biggest radius size runs on stable 60 fps. this has been achieved by reworking the Layer System of the World Editor, more on that later.

Drawing is now fluent as you were using a real painting tool. Before higher mouse movement would break the fluent drawing. This is now fixed!

New Layer System

  • Water Layer

  • Land Layer (form continents)

  • Biome Layer (put biome type on the land)

  • Ground Overlay (put ground variations on any biome)

  • Wall and Wall Ceiling Layer (interior,exterior,autotiling cliffs walls etc)

  • Object Layer (trees,mountains...etc)

  • Effect Layer

  • Region Layer

UI Overhaul]

The UI is currently being overhauled:

  • The UI is more reactive

  • Sound Effects added

  • Final Results will be visible in the next Devlog

and much more which i probably forgot.. those are most important Changes.
