Clothes are Done!

Hello future curators! Apologies for how long it's been since our last update. This holiday season was much busier than normal for us, so we were delayed quite a bit. The boy clothes are finally done!

changedApologies for how long it's been since our last update. This holiday season was much busier than normal for us, so we were delayed quite a bit.
addedUp next for me, in no particular order, is getting all these clothes into the game, doing some play testing, and I'd like to put together a new "Fairmoon Fashion" trailer, featuring clothing, hairstyles, and maybe furniture/decorating.
changedOh boy! We've been slacking off on updates. We're very bad at this. But that's okay. The holiday season was abnormally busy for us and it meant a lot of interruptions, but we've gotten some good work done.
changedSince I've been leaning on statistics in lieu of any big flashy stuff, I will continue to do so. Since the last post we're up to about 170,000 words and in that we've got a little over 15,000 lines of dialogue and 3,500 player choices.
changedThe bulk of these belong to quests, of which we currently have 75 with 226 quest stages.
changedAs for the quests, presently, a good number of them are simple town or tool upgrade quests. Or initial player meeting quests but the number will continue to expand as we schmunch towards getting things into early access. Each stage is a single thing to do, usually. Think "hand over 10 buckets" or "wait a few days" or "go talk to ." I'm hoping to pace things out so it's not overwhelming and doesn't leave too much space.

The boy clothes are finally done!

All the clothes for Early Access are done now, so that should be my last major chunk of stuff I had to get done for that. As with the girl, there are hundreds of pieces to choose from off the bat, with more to come later!

Up next for me, in no particular order, is getting all these clothes into the game, doing some play testing, and I'd like to put together a new "Fairmoon Fashion" trailer, featuring clothing, hairstyles, and maybe furniture/decorating.

Now our update from coder man!

Oh boy! We've been slacking off on updates. We're very bad at this. But that's okay. The holiday season was abnormally busy for us and it meant a lot of interruptions, but we've gotten some good work done.

Since I've been leaning on statistics in lieu of any big flashy stuff, I will continue to do so. Since the last post we're up to about 170,000 words and in that we've got a little over 15,000 lines of dialogue and 3,500 player choices.

A lot of that lacks context, so I'll include some information! Firstly, almost none of our conversations loop around like you're maybe used to seeing. You can make your way through a conversation and not even get to the "point." It's really up to you, within my ability to make up and write paths through conversations before dying of old age anyway.

As for the quests, presently, a good number of them are simple town or tool upgrade quests.

That said, vis-a-vis quests, Fairmoon is a living town. People aren't going to wait a month for you to perform a simple task. They'll just do it themselves. And due to our relationship system, all the conversations and outcomes like that add up to how characters in town see you. We'll likely get into the logistics of that at some point. But for now, I've written too much, so adieu.
