Dear Explorers, thank you for diving in on launch week. Your feedback is helping us fine-tune the dimensional gateway. This first hot fix addresses stability issues, world refinements, and a few things that have been bugging us too.
Critical Fixes
Fixed a crash that could occur on non-SteamVR and non-Meta runtimes. The dimensional rift is now stable across all supported headsets.
Fixed a bug where starting a New Game with a different Player could inherit the save progression of the previous Player. Every explorer now starts fresh.
Fixed the final Level 10 achievement not registering correctly on Steam. Your hard-earned trophy will now appear as intended.
Fixed checkpoint in Level Ice Part 1 which sometimes would not load the next part of the level if the player died from the two zombies and then respawned.
World & Environment
Patched a floor gap in Level Ice Part 1. No more falling out of the dimension.
Smasher has been positioned better in Ice Part 2. Still there, but it won’t jump off by itself.
Updated lighting in Megazon for a more atmospheric experience.
Max’s helmet in Megazon is now on a more stable toilet so it won’t magically disappear sometimes.
Adjusted lighting behaviour near the Mother character for improved visual fidelity in that scene.
Skinny Zombie has been temporarily stood down. Some of you noticed he was not quite himself lately, we did too. He has been replaced in the Ice and Lightning sections for now and will return fully fixed in a future update. We miss him already.
Improved the grab interaction around the Lyx character.
Small environmental detail pass with new props added to the world.
Localization
Japanese, Chinese, and Russian text now displays correctly. Proper fonts with full character support across all scroll texts.
Line breaks for non-Latin scroll content have been corrected for better readability.
VR Settings & Comfort
Added 120° snap turn as a new rotation option, sitting between the existing 90° and 180° settings.
Improved stability of DLSS graphics settings saving across sessions.
Audio
Corrected one wrong line in Mirx’s dialogue.
Audio settings improvements for a better tuned experience.
Keep exploring the dimensions — Lords of Illusion
