EvilPunk changes
We are offering you a brand new gameplay with this EvilPunk 2.0 "New West" Rogue-like update that we have been working on since the 1.4.2 update. Unlike the tower defense in the Campaign mode, in the Rogue-like mode, you will fight different enemies on procedurally generated and linear maps and collect cards that will offer you different gameplay mechanics as you collect them at the end of these battles.
Of course, we made a huge visual change in the game with the 2.0 Update. In order to reflect the wild west spirit of the game, we rearranged the structure of the surrounding houses, the ground and the lighting to be compatible.
We are sharing a small sample with you and invite you to play our new game mode to see more!
And now let's take a look at the content we added to the game:
Rogue-like Mode Our new game mode that you can access from the Main Menu!
You can play this new mode in 2 different difficulty levels.
Normal Mode
In Normal mode, your death is not permanent. You will access to the Skill Tree and your Skill Tree upgrades will be carry over your next runs. Your highest score will be saved to the Leaderboard.
We also have a Starting Town specific to Normal mode, where you can access the Skill Tree, try out weapons at the shooting range, and hang out at the Saloon and have fun.
Hardcore Mode
In Hardcore mode, your death is permanent. Everything you did in this run will be gone, you have no advantages over Normal mode and you can’t access to the Skill Tree. Your highest score will be saved to the Leaderboard.
Combat Level
As you progress through the levels, you will encounter different Combat Levels. You must fulfill the necessary conditions to progress. Exterminate
You need to kill a certain number of enemies in a level. You cannot move on to the next level without killing all of them.
Survival
In this Level, you need to survive from the enemy horde for 1 minute. When the time is up, your passage to the next Level will be unlocked.
Boss Level
You fight with a random boss you encounter in Campaign mode. When you defeat the boss, you will be able to move on to the next level.
Level End Rewards
Normal Mode
Combat Level: Silver Coin, Gear Coin and Crystal
Boss Level: Silver Coin, Gear Coin and Crystal
One Card Chest every 2 combat levels. You need to choose one of the 3 Buff Cards from the reward chest.
Hardcore Mode
Combat Level: Silver Coin and Gear Coin
Boss Level: Silver Coin and Gear Coin
One Card Chest every 2 combat levels. You need to choose one of the 3 Buff Cards from the reward chest.
Buff Cards
From reward chests at the end of every 2 combat Levels. Collect over 40 cards that will give you a different ability each time and create your own unique play style.
You can access the card slots by turning your left hand.
Normal Mode
You start the game with 5 card slots. You can open the 6th slot with the Skill Tree.
Hardcore Mode
You start the game with 6 card slots.
Damage
Cards in this category are Damage-focused cards that increase your damage to enemies in the game and shape your damage type.
Shield
Cards in this category are Defense-focused cards that aim to keep you alive and reduce damage from enemies.
Heal
Cards in this category are cards that focus on healing, recovering your health and giving high rewards for low health.
Freeze
Cards in this category are Freeze-focused cards that restrict and stop your enemies movements. Summon
Cards in this category are Summon-focused cards that strengthen the objects you have summoned during your level and change their effects.
Utility
Cards in this category are Utility-focused cards that increase your supply control and give effects to your enemies.
Skill Tree
This skill tree, which is only available in Normal Mode, will permanently grant you special abilities in exchange for the Crystals you earn at the end of the each level.
Event Level
In this Level, which you will encounter as you progress in Rogue like mode, is focused entirely on giving you rewards or punishments according to the actions you take.
Written Events
By telling you a storyline, you will receive a reward or punishment, or nothing will happen, depending on the option you choose.
Interactive Events
A plot is presented to you and depending on your actions or luck, you receive a reward or punishment, or nothing happens.
Shop Level
Unlike the campaign mode, when you reach this level, a random shop will appear and you can buy or upgrade cards, weapons and consumables with the Silver Coins you have.
Item Shop
You can buy Health, Ammo, Turret, Grenade and consumables with different prices and health recovery values.
Card Shop
You can purchase different numbers of random rarity cards depending on the mode you are in.
Normal Mode You can buy 3 cards. You can buy 6 cards with Skill Tree.
Hardcore Mode You can buy 6 cards.
Card Upgrade
You can upgrade the cards you have.
Weapon Shop
You can buy more powerful weapons that you can use during the level.
Weapon Upgrade
You can upgrade and strengthen the weapon you have during the level.
Headshot Combo
In Roguelike mode, consecutive kills with Headshots will give you extra rewards. 3x combo: Silver Coin 5x combo: Silver Coin and Score 8x combo: Silver Coin, Score and Maximum Health
The Maximum Health reward will remain with you until you die.
Enemy
Flying enemy types that are difficult to reach and hit in the air have been added to the game. Eagle Bat
An enemy type that will come to you quickly and make it difficult for you to escape has been added to the game. Wolf
Environment
Environmental interaction has been added to the game where you can get rewards by digging graves in Town and Level.
You can earn consumables and silver coins by digging graves with the shovel that spawns with cemeteries.
Cigarette, Alcohol and Canned Food consumables, which can be found in Town and Level and give you health when consumed, have been added to the game.
Leaderboard Your score will be recorded in different leaderboards depending on the mode you play. Normal Mode
It is located in Town next to the Train Station. Hardcore Mode
It is located next to the Level entrance gate as you exit the train station.
After pressing the button to set the Turret, it is automatically canceled 5 seconds later. You no longer have to set up the Turret.
You can now interact with most UI interactions by clicking directly on the UI.
We now have new header images for patch notes!
Lighting, models and environments have been revamped on all Campaign maps! The Church Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4
There's a new starting town exclusive to the Rogue like’s Normal mode!
Melee zombies now have new models!
Turret's model has been renewed!
Tutorial Signs have been renewed!
The chests have been renewed!
The piano has been renewed!
Appearance of weapons have been polished!
Tutorial signs have been renewed. They now have a cleaner, more readable UI.
The UI has been updated to appear when you approach the books on the map.
In Rogue like mode, you can access your currency and card slots by turning your Left hand and current level, duration and score information by turning your Right hand.
Enemy movement behavior has been smoothed out, they now turn more naturally when turning left and right.
Enemy drop rates have been adjusted.
Fixed some known bugs in Campaign mode.
If you experience any issues, please delete the AppData\Local\VRGKVirtualRealityGameKit file.
