Multiplayer Meta-Progression Rework

  • Added an individual Meta-Progression system:

    • Multiplayer progression is now saved per player instead of being fully shared across a session. At the end of an Age, each player receives their own rewards and keeps their own persistent unlocks and purchases on their personal profile:

      • Evolution added to Collection

      • Wargear unlocked and upgrades

      • Essence unlocked and upgrades

      • Echoes

      • Aphotic Shards

  • The Celestial Hourglass still remains tied to the host during a multiplayer session. If you join another player’s game, you will see the host’s Hourglass progression, and you cannot spend your own Echoes on it. Your Wargear and Essence upgrades, however, still use your own personal resources. This means that two players can complete the same run together and still leave with different long-term progression, depending on what they had already unlocked and what they chose to upgrade on their own profile. Your rewards and permanent progression are personal, but the host’s Celestial Hourglass still defines the session.

  • The Fresco reflects your personal progression. In multiplayer, the Fresco does not automatically unlock Ages just because you joined a host who is further ahead. If you play a later Age with another player, you only validate the next Age available on your own profile, along with its associated rewards. Your long-term Age progression therefore follows your personal unlock path, not the host’s overall advancement.

For players who already had multiplayer runs in progress with friends, the option to copy the host’s save remains available, allowing you to keep playing with the host’s progression instead of starting over from scratch on your own profile.
