Hello everyone,

I’m Franz, a solo developer from Argentina, currently working on Eslabong.

Eslabong is a hybrid game that combines real-time arena combat with club management and seasonal progression.

You control one fighter directly during battles while managing your team outside the arena: buying/selling mercenaries, improving facilities, building strategies, and competing through leagues and cups.

The idea came from wanting to combine three things I love:

  • direct action gameplay

  • long-term management progression

  • sports style tournaments

Current Development Focus

Right now I’m focused on:

  • polishing combat feel

  • improving arenas and visuals

  • refining onboarding and tutorial

  • balancing progression systems

  • preparing the first public playtest

Why Solo Dev?

Building a game alone is challenging, but it also allows very fast iteration and a clear vision for the project.

I’m currently working with a talented 2D artist to improve the visuals, while also testing progression and difficulty with friends and family. I also have a great friend that is a musician helping me with the SFX.

What Comes Next

The game is progressing faster than I expected, so playtests are coming very soon.

Eslabong will also take part in Steam Next Fest this June.

Over the next devblogs, I’ll share more about:

  • gameplay systems

  • mercenary classes

  • champions

  • leagues and cups

  • progress updates

  • playtest news

Thanks for checking out the project.

If the concept sounds interesting, wishlist Eslabong and follow development. Fran.
