changedWe’ve done a lot of work on the game this month. First of all, we updated the trailer. We tried to make it clearer and more interesting, so that from the very first seconds it’s easier to understand what Empires Edge is about.
addedI’d be really grateful for your feedback: what do you think of the new trailer? Is the game clearer now? Maybe you have any ideas on what could still be improved?
addedWe also finished drawing the full Bronze Age for the human faction and added the transition from one era to another. Right now we’re working on the balance of the first two eras and collecting feedback from our first playtesters.
addedWe’ve also added two tutorial levels. At the same time, we’re trying not to overload players with text, and instead make many things understandable even without long explanations. For a strategy game, this is not an easy task, but I can already see that we’re moving in the right direction.
changedWe’re getting a lot of feedback on small improvements, and we write everything down and prioritize it. Some things go into development right away. Sometimes we can release several updates in a single day if we know they will make the game more comfortable and enjoyable to play.
addedWe’re also continuing to work on optimization. The logs show that the game is becoming more stable and handles heavier loads better. We’re also improving the AI: it was already quite challenging and interesting, but we want to make it even smarter for experienced players. Later, we’ll add difficulty settings so everyone can adjust the game to their own comfort level.

Hi friends!

We’ve done a lot of work on the game this month. First of all, we updated the trailer. We tried to make it clearer and more interesting, so that from the very first seconds it’s easier to understand what Empires Edge is about.

I’d be really grateful for your feedback: what do you think of the new trailer? Is the game clearer now? Maybe you have any ideas on what could still be improved?

We also finished drawing the full Bronze Age for the human faction and added the transition from one era to another. Right now we’re working on the balance of the first two eras and collecting feedback from our first playtesters.

For now, unfortunately, we’re only giving access to a small number of players. The game is still in active development, and we don’t want this early version to be perceived as the final experience. Once we’re confident that the test missions are stronger, clearer in terms of UX, and don’t raise too many questions, we’ll start inviting more players.

Thank you to everyone who signs up for the playtest. It really means a lot to us and helps make the game better.

If you have any platforms, channels, communities, or simply an opportunity to tell people about Empires Edge, I would be very grateful. For indie development, this kind of support means a lot.

Steady wishlist growth is incredibly motivating. It shows us that we’re not doing all of this for nothing, and that the game is finding its people.

Thank you for your support and interest in the project. There is still a lot of work ahead, but with every update, Empires Edge gets closer to the version we want to show players.
