addedThe latest patch introduced some performance regressions and issues that we are rectifying in this hot fix. Additionally, we were able to perform a shader optimization pass and free up about 2GB of RAM while the game is running; enjoy!
fixedReverted Unity Engine to the previous sub-version to address a number of performance regressions, mainly: STP should again work on MacOS. Physics colliders should no longer cause framerate issues in certain scenes.
fixedFixed shader compilation issues on macOS and Linux causing visual artifacts with some vegetation.
fixedFixed an issue with the targeting reticle not showing on vegetation and rocks for Windows clients.
changedAdjusted border vegetation LOD bias in Highland Basin/Hills to improve performance.

  • Reverted Unity Engine to the previous sub-version to address a number of performance regressions, mainly:

    • STP should again work on MacOS.

    • Physics colliders should no longer cause framerate issues in certain scenes.

  • Fixed shader compilation issues on macOS and Linux causing visual artifacts with some vegetation.

  • Fixed an issue with the targeting reticle not showing on vegetation and rocks for Windows clients.

  • Adjusted border vegetation LOD bias in Highland Basin/Hills to improve performance.

  • Performed third party shader optimizations reducing the game's memory (RAM) footprint by ~2GB.

  • Added tooltip for Ley Pylon to the map icon highlight (upper right).

  • Allow shift+click to replace ranged ammo items for Strikers wanting to swap a weapon in.

  • Renamed "Graphics" options tab to "Display".

  • Added a new "Performance" options tab. Which now includes:

    • Enable Cloth Sim

    • Rain Collision

    • Shadow Casting Lights

    • Thread Count

    • Rendering Budget (previously "Overall Quality")

    • Cloud Quality

    • Volumetrics Quality

    • Humanoid Textures Quality

    • Vegetation Density Quality

    • View Render Distance

    • Shadow Render Distance

    • Vegetation Render Distance

    • Tree Billboard Render Distance

  • "High Quality" tree billboard toggle has been removed as it is now the default.
