  • Reduced stamina wound accumulation rate while in combat by 25%.

  • Increased combat stance movement speed by 10%.

  • Movement speed reductions when on high angle slopes is now ramped up and down. This should result in a much smoother experience traversing the world.

Fixes

  • Fixed Ashen Mire pet sorting name.

  • Fixed prep duration for the challenge in Forgotten Depths.

  • Fixed a rare bug that could cause a challenge to not properly reset.

  • Fixed missing gambeson prefix on crafted hauberks.

  • Fixed grammar error in Heimar quest.

Redshore Bluffs:

The island region of Redshore across the lake was severely underutilized and lacked content. We are attempting to rectify that with a new challenge "Redshore Bluffs". This is our most challenging challenge to date meant for players level 46+. It also includes a brand new friendly NPC mechanic being used for the first time!

Keys for this challenge may not drop where you think they do, so keep an open mind. Also note that mobs within this challenge \ can\ and will respawn.

Gathering & Crafting Updates

This month we are making some much needed QoL improvements to the crafting experience within Newhaven City.

  • Added a Personal Gathering Stash to the Newhaven City banks. This container acts just like your personal stash except that it only accepts items that can be placed in the gathering bag.

  • You can now place dyes, patterns, and refined materials into your gathering bag & stash.

  • Within Newhaven City you can now refine or craft using materials that currently reside in both your personal and gathering stashes. This should reduce the amount of running back and forth while using the crafting stations within the city.

Ember Stone Hearth

Thanks to the robust research you all have done over the past 3+ years the Academy has finally discovered the art of returning back to Newhaven City through the ley lines! They have instructed all of you how to use this technology so no further action is required to access it!

The requirements to hearth back to the city are as follows:

  • Must have an Ember Stone.

  • Must have the Ley Pylon in the city discovered.

  • Ley Pylon must be active.

  • Must be at an Ember Ring.

  • Minimum cooldown of 1hr must have elapsed since last use.

  • Must have the appropriate amount of Ember Essence.

    • Cost is proportional to the last usage time (in other words, the longer you wait, the cheaper it is):

      • 1hr = 100EE

      • 2hr = 50EE

      • 8hr = 20EE

      • 24hr = 5EE

    • Travel Essence will always be used first if available.

  • Note that Hearth execution times are reduced for subscribers:

    • Subscribers: 30s

    • Non-Subscribers: 60s

You can check the status of your Ember Stone Hearth at any time by either the tooltip of your Ember Stone on the equipment page, or typing the chat command "/hearth status". To use your hearth simply right click the stone on your equipment page, or use the "/hearth" chat command.

Rested Adventuring Experience & Essence

While you're away, your adventurer will be resting too! When you return, you'll find a rested experience bonus waiting, giving you a head start on your next adventure. You will also find that your Ember Stone has absorbed essence during your time away.

Rested XP and Essence work as follows:

  • Must log out at an Ember Ring to accumulate while offline (even in Newhaven City).

  • Caps after 6 days.

  • At login your rested time will be converted to Ember Essence and added to your Ember Stone. If you are fully rested (6 days) then your Stone will be filled to 100%.

  • While rested you earn +50% adventuring experience from Npc kills (not tasks).

  • Fully rested coverage varies per level:

    • 100% at level 1

    • 20% at level 49

  • Rested XP will show on the XP bar as an orange bar behind the normal blue bar.

  • "You gain adventuring \ rested\ experience" will show in your combat log if the +50% bonus was applied. (verbiage likely to be adjusted in the future, it's too late now the builds are finished!)

  • Every character has been marked as fully rested for this patch!
