changedFirstly, I'd like to explain a few things regarding development progress on Elite Exorcist Miko. Recently, some factors have made it difficult to work on the game, so unfortunately the holoX Stage content update will be released later than I'd initially hoped. I know that many of you have been waiting for this update for some time now, so I apologize for the delay and truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
addedI'd also like to talk about future content further ahead. Upon reviewing the amount of content yet to be added, I've determined that it will unfortunately not be possible to complete the game within 2026 as initially estimated. As such, the Early Access information on the store page has been updated to reflect this. There is also the possibility of changes in how certain characters may be implemented. For example, characters initially intended to be added as Extra Bosses may be moved to Main Expeditions instead. In essence, the roadmap I initially posted back at the start of Early Access may no longer be indicative of what will be implemented in the final game.
addedWith all that said, it's time to get to the good news. A new game update, v0.5.6 , is now available to download, bringing with it a ton of quality-of-life additions, fixes and balance adjustments! These changes were originally meant to be shipped together with the holoX Stage, but with the completion date for that yet uncertain, I didn't want to keep you all waiting too long for something new. Many of these changes have already been announced before, but there are a few new things as well!
addedOverall Buffs!Light Attacks can now be chained forever! No more delay after using a certain number of them!
changedOverall Buffs!Gohei Attacks for all Styles have been buffed, whether in damage or attack speed!
changedOverall Buffs!Combo now decays once the timer runs out instead of instantly resetting to 0%, giving you a chance to recover!

With all that said, it's time to get to the good news. A new game update, v0.5.6, is now available to download, bringing with it a ton of quality-of-life additions, fixes and balance adjustments! Overall Buffs!

  • Light Attacks can now be chained forever! No more delay after using a certain number of them!

  • Gohei Attacks for all Styles have been buffed, whether in damage or attack speed!

  • Combo now decays once the timer runs out instead of instantly resetting to 0%, giving you a chance to recover!

  • Hitbox size has been decreased, making it easier to maneuver tight bullet formations!

  • Almost every Talisman now consumes less Energy than before!

Burn and Poison now work in Special Phases!

With this update, Burn and Poison can now be applied to Bosses at any time, and will no longer be removed upon entering a new phase! Do note that each Boss's individual vulnerabilities, resistances and immunities still apply.

Status Screen!

The new Status screen is now accessible from the Pause menu, providing detailed information on various stats and modifiers, including durations and exact numerical values!

Enemy Journal!

The Journal menu is now divided into a section for holomems and a new section for enemies! View details on each enemy's status resistances, toughness and strength levels, as well as notes on unique mechanics!

It'll take a bit more time, but I'll do my best to get the holoX Stage done soon. As the Bosses are the only pending content remaining for the update, there probably won't be the usual monthly progress update posts until the update is complete since I don't want to spoil too much.
