addedWe have returned from our winter break and are coming back strong with some new mechanics and visual updates - so let’s get straight into it!
addedTeasing our Symbol MechanicsAfter our last playtest we’ve been hard at work refining our mechanics with the feedback we’ve received. The game has evolved quite a bit mechanically into what we think is a great direction. The tools we’ve shown you in our October update are meant to help you diagnose the monsters - these tools will allow you to communicate with them! In our early concepts you simply chose the symbols from a book to go towards an emotion but in this new design this step is a lot more involved!
addedVillage PolishOur last update already showed you some of the village process and in the past two months we’ve polished the houses and environment. The progress is most visible with the houses, since they’ve been just blockouts last you’ve seen them. With the added textures, colour and shadows they add a lot of character to the village! There is still some polish needed of course, but we are very happy with the direction we’re heading. It really looks like a nice and cozy alp village now - I sure hope nothing bad is going to happen to it!!

Mountain Environment
The second environment, up in the mountains, has received its first glow-up with more refined art assets and thought out colour scheme. This is only the first iteration so it still looks a bit empty but it’s a strong foundation for further refinement. Everything is also already implemented in Unity and ready to be tested with our narrative nodes!

We’ll be back next month with updates on our characters in which you will get a glimpse on what horrible horrible things may happen to our dear villagers 👀
