The team is back from the holiday break with a new update that adds Steam Deck compatibility and fixes some bugs including an issue that could prevent players from progressing past the end of the turn. We’ve also added an option to improve performance by using a static background on the combat screen and addressed some minor UI and controller issues.
With this update, the game is now officially playable on Steam Deck. The team is continuing to work on updates, including the final tweaks required for full Steam Deck verification.

General
Added an option to have a static background on the combat screen, improving performance if enabled. You can enable this in the Graphics section of the Settings menu
Bug Fixes
End turn prompt waits for all actions to complete before appearing. This fixes issues where the HUD would disappear and the game would not progress
Fixed incorrect stats on AI-spawned cow spliced units
Optimized several effects textures
Fixed an issue where text could get cut off during the credits scroll
Fixed an issue where system benchmarks were not being applied to the settings.
Controller - Fixed cursor sometimes being in wrong position after switching units
Controller - Fixed an issue where buttons would sometimes not react to input in the Splice-O-Tron
Controller - Added a binding to skip narrative dialogue. Using this button also makes our writer a little bit sad
Controller - Enabled tabbing between pages in the Help menu
Controller - Allowed right-stick to scroll in the Help menu
