Dungeon Inn changes
With the new year underway, we’d like to share an update on how development for Dungeon Inn has been progressing. January has been a focused and challenging month for us, as we continue work on the latter half of the game and prepare the next stage of Sara’s journey.
Preparing Chapters 7 to 9
We are currently preparing Chapters 7 to 9, and we’d like to first introduce some of the new mechanics that will appear in Chapters 7 and 8. These systems are designed to work closely with the unfolding story and to create new pressures and opportunities for inn management.
New Mechanic: Party System
In the upcoming chapters, adventurers may now arrive as parties.
Two or more adventurers can form a group and visit the inn together, hoping to stay at the same time. Should any member of the party fall behind, the others will wait for them at the crossroads. And if there aren’t enough beds for the entire party, they will decide to leave the inn together.
This means that planning room availability and timing will become even more important than before.
New Mechanic: Flock Effect
Another new mechanic introduced alongside the story is the Flock effect.
To whom will the honour of being the first to conquer the dungeon be bestowed? The Seaside Guild’s adventurers will not want that honour snatched away by the Mountain Guild. Nor would the Mountain Guild wish to see the Seaside Guild succeed first.
With both guilds competing fiercely, the path leading to the dungeon will become teeming with adventurers. During the day when the Flock effect is active, the number of adventurers departing from the city will increase explosively.
If the inn can safely accommodate all of these guests, it can bring in a great deal of money! But only if everything is managed carefully.
Challenges During Development
Introducing these new systems required us to carefully review the adventurers’ spawn rules and improve pathfinding once more. We needed to ensure that the new mechanics functioned smoothly, while also avoiding conflicts with existing rules and systems already in place.
Balancing these interactions took time, but we believe the result will provide a more engaging and cohesive experience.
New Skills in Development
Alongside these mechanical changes, we are also preparing new skills for May and Bami.
May’s incredible knowledge of artefacts will allow her to mediate adventurers’ battles perfectly, without leaving a trace. These skills are designed to interact naturally with the increased tension brought about by the new mechanics.
And in Chapter 9 … you may finally come to understand why Sara is the leader.
A Glimpse of the Story Ahead
As we work toward the later chapters, more of the narrative will begin to take shape. Some moments are best left unexplained for now but we hope this small glimpse hints at what lies ahead.

We would like to apologise for a slight delay in development due to health issues. Being reminded of how important good health is has been humbling for us.

Last December, we exhibited Dungeon Inn at Beaver Rocks, an indie game festival held in Korea. We’d like to thank everyone who came by the booth, tried the game, and shared their thoughts with us.
We’re also honoured to share that Dungeon Inn received the Beaver Featured Special Award, selected by GCA. This recognition means a great deal to us, and we are deeply grateful for all the support you’ve shown us.
