addedUpdatesAnother performance bottleneck turned out to be the number of draw calls. HLODs have been added to the map, which at a certain distance merge parts of the map into a single model with one material, reducing the number of calls. We’re still experimenting with the settings and continuing to monitor performance. (Purple in the screenshot indicates the near zone where there is no HLOD and original models are used)

  • Shadows have been disabled for various small objects, and culling has been added to many other objects to reduce draw call frequency.

  • Unique death sounds for monsters have been added.

  • 9 different types of backpacks with their own parameters have been added; some can be found, while others unlock for purchase only after reaching a certain level.

  • A body armor has been added, providing protection from bullets and melee damage. 7 more types of body armor are on the way.

  • A "Take All" button has been added for loot containers.

  • The stack size of various resource items (screwdriver, hammer, etc.) has been increased.

  • The assortment in the trading terminal now changes randomly.

  • Cloud saves have been added to Steam.

  • A pop-up window has been added when restarting a mission in the menu with a warning.

  • Translation into all 14 languages has been added, along with language selection options in the menu (Game settings).

  • A floating ash effect in the air has been added in the Backside.

  • A light effect has been added when hitting live wire in the Backside.

Fixed

  • Fixed a bug where the weight of items in the backpack was calculated incorrectly, causing extra weight.

  • Fixed a bug with monster spawning in the Otherside, where some locations could remain empty.

  • Fixed a bug with the mouse sensitivity slider.

  • Reworked the logic for adding shell casings; fixed a bug where casings spawned in the backpack as separate items one by one.

  • Fixed non-working key rebinding for interaction.

  • Fixed a bug with flashlight shadows on weapons.

  • Fixed a bug where dead monsters on the map were displayed as alive.

  • Fixed a bug where the Creature did not spawn in the second quest after exiting the Otherside.

  • Fixed a bug where monsters around were not removed when entering/exiting the Otherside.

  • Fixed a bug where a stationary portal in the Otherside would appear after cooldown but could not be used.

  • Fixed a bug where the night pulse modifier did not work when entering the city at night.

  • Fixed the repair animation for the TOZ shotgun.

  • Fixed a bug where the detector was not hidden while aiming.

  • Fixed a bug where two markers were displayed at the start of the second quest.

  • Fixed a bug where the detector light bulb appeared on the player’s hand in the first quest.

  • Fixed the pronunciation of some of Romanov’s lines that sounded unnatural.

  • Fixed a missing oxygen icon (showing cold instead) when transitioning to the Backside.

  • Reduced landscape LOD, which caused snowdrifts to render while aiming.
