Re-Roll penalty removal 🎲

Hey everyone!

A lot of you mentioned how frustrating it felt to spend skill points just to find the exact character you wanted to play, especially since it came at the expense of your skill tree progress.

While I do plan to reintroduce a re-roll penalty in some form later on, for now it made the most sense to simply remove the cost altogether.

Patch Notes

Gameplay & Balance

  • Removed Character Re-Roll Penalty

  • New EnemyVarangian Flamer (added to Varangian Station)

Level Design & Environments

  • Re-aligned extraction UI in one of the Scrapper end rooms (players could not locate the exit shuttle)

  • Improved lighting across Athax Station for better visibility

  • Improved lighting in Small Gruber Hangar Start Room

  • Fixed geometry issues in Athax Station where enemies could spawn inside walls

  • Fixed pathfinding issues in several Sector 9 rooms

  • Fixed defense turret position in Scrapper Barge Start Room (was going out of bounds)

Encounters & Characters

  • Added missing choice text for Grand Fleet encounter options

  • Fixed bug where Skugz (Boss 2) corpse appeared at the final boss

  • Fixed Male Junky aim in the City Biome (was shooting sideways, lol)

Development Schedule

Now that most of the big gripes are taken care of, I’m planning to slow down the frequency of smaller patches and focus on delivering larger, more substantial content updates going forward.
