Since Dragonhold Launched, we've been working tirelessly to fix bugs, make improvements, and add new small features. Below are the highlights of those updates.

New & Improved

  • Unstuck Button

    • We've heard your feedback and have added an Unstuck Button to the Pause/Escape Menu. If you happen to find yourself stuck, click the Unstuck Button, and you'll be teleported somewhere safe.

  • Balloon Popping

    • The balloons you find in the skies over Azarkeen have mysteriously become pop-able. I've heard Dragon Fire is particularly affective against them.

  • Dragon Camera Zoom

    • You can now control your Dragon's Camera with the mouse wheel.

  • Skell Warrens

    • Increased the Skell Warren escape time to 30 seconds. Up from 15 seconds.

  • Death Updates

    • Upon death, you no longer lose your Equipped Weapons, Shield, or Armor. You still lose your gold, XP, Charms, Equipment, Items, Resources, and anything that isn't equipped. Internally, we've been discussing more changes to what happens when you die, so expect further death updates in the near future.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Equipment not showing up in the Prepare Menu.

  • Fixed a number of bugs that result in the game crashing.

  • Fixed a bug that caused rocks to block the path inside Skell Warrens.

  • Fixed various minor visual bugs.

  • Fixed Air Extraction Gates not extracting the player.

  • Fixed a number of items, such as the weapon cores, that should stack but weren't.

Planned Updates / Ideas

  • Fig Courier: Keep your stuff!

I think there's a mismatch between RPG's and the idea of Extraction. As the designer (Peterk) My thoughts here, and throughout much of the game, relate to how things work in real life. For example, some people have mentioned that it looks like their gold went to zero when they entered the hub world after a mission; but what's happening is that the gold is transferred to your "bank", and when you're in the prepare menu, you can decide how much you want to take back into the mission world with you (up to 10k - your "purse"). In real life people don't typically walk around carrying their entire financial worth with them. Regardless, Everybody hates losing stuff when they die, and for us, it's balance of tension and enjoyment. So we're playing with the idea of a Fig Courier. The Figs are merchants that you find throughout the mission world, and when you interact with them, not only can you buy ad sell things, soon you'll be able to send items home to your hub. here's a concept of the new merchant UI that will let you use the fig courier service:

  • Easier "Equip" from cache

Many players are confused how to move items from their Cache to their character. And right now it's done through the Prepare menu when you click on your character portrait after pressing the "hunt" gameplay mode. But we're considering adding an "Equip" button to the cache UI that will allow you to see the character's equip slots and your equip-able cache items.
