removedOver the last few weeks, we've been working hard to make Dragonhold an experience the community can enjoy, and we've been listening intently to your thoughts. As such, we've removed microtransactions from Dragonhold. Even though it was only cosmetics, the community felt they didn't make sense while the game was in Early Access, and we agree.
changedAdditionally, we've updated the steam page to reflect the current state and play mechanics of Dragonhold, and posted a roadmap to show where it's headed. Our hope is that with support from the community, we can continue to develop and polish Dragonhold until it shines as bright as our vision for it!
addedCheck out all of the new content and fixes below for this huge holiday patch entitled "The Ashen Dawn".
addedNew & ImprovedMicrotransactions Removed If you've already purchased a cosmetic, you can continue to use it. If you've got any tetra left, you can spend it as you like. generally, anyone who has purchased anything will be unaffected. New players will not see any options to purchase tetra or cosmetics. Additionally, much of the content that was premium is now unlocked and included in the base game. Eventually we may consider re-introducing premium content after 1.0 launch, but we'll do this with great consideration and input from the community. We've pledged to only ever do cosmetics, never power or boosts. regardless, we've heard you and microtransactions are gone now!
changedNew & ImprovedArmor stats Armor sets now fully contribute to your defense stat and all armor sets have been given their stat values. Additionally, merchants and other UI elements have been updated to show you how armor and shields affect your stats.
changedNew & ImprovedFPS boost we performed some major optimizations which should result in a 5-15 FPS boost depending on your machine.

New & Improved

  • Microtransactions Removed

    • If you've already purchased a cosmetic, you can continue to use it. If you've got any tetra left, you can spend it as you like. generally, anyone who has purchased anything will be unaffected. New players will not see any options to purchase tetra or cosmetics. Additionally, much of the content that was premium is now unlocked and included in the base game.

    • Eventually we may consider re-introducing premium content after 1.0 launch, but we'll do this with great consideration and input from the community. We've pledged to only ever do cosmetics, never power or boosts. regardless, we've heard you and microtransactions are gone now!

  • Adradai the Ashen Dawn comes

    • Adradai, 'the Ashen Dawn' has found your hide-out in the endless shores, and her forces have mobilized to take you down and put an end to the Boundless Order for good. Once you complete the quests, prepare to defend yourself!

    • This massive battle comes after you complete the main quests, and your HUB world is in danger. This huge content update completes the main story-line, and should be an exciting cap to the base game.

  • Armor stats

    • Armor sets now fully contribute to your defense stat and all armor sets have been given their stat values. Additionally, merchants and other UI elements have been updated to show you how armor and shields affect your stats.

  • FPS boost

    • we performed some major optimizations which should result in a 5-15 FPS boost depending on your machine.

  • Server Filtering

    • We added filtering by name for servers, so now when you create a server your friends and easily find it.

  • Anti-Range Balancing

    • Large enemies like Ogres and Golems were very susceptible to ranged attacks. Now they will hurl rocks and lava and other horrible stuff at sorcerer's who think they're snipers :)

  • Ambush and Elite attacks

    • Previously enemy elites would spawn near the player - and often too many. We've updated the AI director with new forms of attacks "Elite Encounter" and "Ambush". The elite encounter will drop an enemy elite into the fray every once in a while, and the ambush encounter will have enemies un-burrow or pop-up when you least expect. This new encounter system will prevent multiple ogre lords from dropping in on you suddenly!

  • Overall HUB optimizations

    • we've done a pass on optimizing the hub buildings to increase the frame rate here. We'll continue this process for the foreseeable future. Mixed with the FPS boost optimizations mentioned above, you should see a nice overall increase in performance.

  • New Enemies

    • We've added demon darts and Demonic sky wardens to
