Dragonfield changes
Alpha 7 is here and it includes a new map, siege ladders and some other major enhancements to the games feel! Play on a brand new map: Set on a snowy hill surrounded by ice, the new map Cold Fort is the first map to introduce siege ladders! Siege ladders can be built by bots (and in the future the player as well) and can be destroyed and even kicked over! Sounds have also received an overhaul in this update. Ambient wind or snow sounds are now present on all maps! Helmets can also fly off now. Bonk.

Last update I said there would be a new weapon, but due to the huge amount of features in this update it did not make it in time. Alpha 8 will arrive soon though!

Graphics
Ambient weather effects are now possible, come see the snow fall on the new map Cold Fort!
Helmets can now fly off after hitting the head. Your own one too so watch out :o
Reworked bow model
Reworked bow animations
Ragdolls are now initialized more accurately, before it did not take certain non-ragdoll rotations into account when starting to ragdoll, which was most noticeable on ladders
Bots now have smoother animation transitioning when starting to climb ladders
Fixed impact effects on shields not being played as intended
UI
Changed color of bottom spawn screen slightly
Fixed the scoreboard not being scrollable after activating the mouse with right click
Maps
A new siege-style map has been added: Cold Fort! Defend or attack with or against bots with siege ladders!
Fixed big rock collision on the map Shorebreak
Audio
Ambient sounds like wind are now present across all maps
A new audio feature has been added to change the volume auf ambient sounds when inside buildings or other interiors. It also allows for smooth transitions between ambiences on maps, for example when entering a cave or climbing a high tower
Added a lot of new sounds to menus and other parts of the game like spawning in and refilling ammo
New blood sounds with variations have been added
Gameplay
The default respawn time is now 8 instead of 7 seconds
Siege ladders on some maps can now be built by bots, destroyed and even kicked over. In a future update the player will be able to build them as well
The player will ragdoll less now since he has a slightly higher poise damage resistance in the legs
Technical stuff
Updated Unity to 2022.2.5
Fixed shields not blocking poise damage for bots
Ambient occlusion is now set to off by default due to its high gpu requirements
Fixed "Maximized window" not working by removing it (It should only be enabled on mac, it now uses "Full screen window" instead)
Refresh rate in video settings will now be displayed more readably
Known bugs
Cloth physics of flags are still not working again due to a bug on Unitys end, it should be fixed in Alpha 8
Bots placing ladders dont have an animation yet and just stand still
