I’ve been spending the last weeks reading your feedback, watching playthroughs, and taking notes on where the demo experience could be smoother and more enjoyable. A few changes are still in progress, but the game has reached a point where pushing an update felt absolutely worth it.

This update focuses mainly on quality of life improvements, balance tweaks, and bug fixes, all aimed at making the demo feel clearer and more comfortable to play. I’ve also set up a Discord server where you can share feedback and ideas. I’d love to grow a small community and shape the game together with you 🙂

Here’s what’s new 👇 🧼 Quality of Life Improvements

  • Controller support 🎮

  • The fridge no longer needs refilling.

  • Pause menu can now be closed with Escape.

  • Sell objects in build mode can also be made by using Backspace.

  • Clear warning message when trying to buy something you can’t afford.

  • Improved object selection in build phase: picking up objects now uses the grid instead of meshes, making thin objects (like plants) much easier to select

  • New tutorials added for:

    • Welcoming a new client.

    • Understanding the line / queue.

    • Build phase basics.

⚖️ Other Changes

  • Day 6 balance update: the day is now longer, with more space between clients (easier).

  • Fixed misspellings and English QA issues.

  • Rebalanced costs and expenses of the three worker types.

  • Table setup time now depends on the number of seats (bigger tables take longer).

  • Workers also take longer to interact with larger tables.

  • If a group leaves without eating, their food can be reused for other tables.

  • Added extra UI text to improve clarity and localization.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where set-up tables couldn’t be collected unless a client was following you.

  • Fixed missing life loss when an impatient client leaves the line.

  • Pause menu can now be opened correctly while interacting.

  • Fixed 2-seat tables not cleaning properly (drinks staying on the table).

  • Workers bought in build phase now load correctly after restarting.

  • Many more smaller fixes and improvements.

🚧 Still in Progress

Some things are already on my radar and coming in future updates:

  • Better visibility in build mode near walls and corners (wall transparency shader update)

  • OBS compatibility issues

  • Option to unload all dirty dishes at once

  • Clearer differentiation between drink types

Thanks again for playing the demo and sharing your thoughts. It genuinely helps shape the game.

More updates are coming, so stay tuned! ❤️
