A new week - and the start of a new devlog series!

Devlog Memories has officially come to an end, and today we’re starting a brand new devlog series where we’ll show the game’s progress as it happens 😄

First MMO Connection Test

This week we reached an important milestone - the first successful multiplayer connection test.

Right now we have:

  • a dedicated server

  • two player clients connected to it

  • server-side synchronization of player movement and position

In the GIF you can see two players (represented as cubes) connected to the same server. Both of them can move around, and their positions are synchronized through the server in real time.

It’s still a very early prototype, but seeing two characters moving in the same world for the first time felt like a huge step forward for the project.

Moments like this are always exciting during development - when something that previously existed only in code finally becomes visible in the game.

Let us know what you think!

If you haven’t added the game to your wishlist yet, you can do it here:

Dominus Automa

That’s it for today 🫡

See you in the next devlog!
