changedI’ve been working on this update for about two months now. Since I’d love to bring this project to Android (Play Store) eventually, it simply wasn't possible with the previous state of the game—mainly due to the lack of a proper menu that integrated correctly with the Unity engine. Players rightfully had complaints regarding the QoL of Disminal . This update is my way of addressing that feedback and making the game feel as polished as it should be
addedSound Settings: You can now tune the "drop ceiling" noise through Ambient Levels , while Player Levels control footsteps and camera zoom sounds.
addedNew Zoom: Added a refined zoom mechanism and animation.
addedMouse Sensitivity: Fully adjustable settings added.
changedLocalization: Menu interface now supports both Spanish and English .
addedAccessibility: Added toggleable options for Camera Bobbing and Handshaking animations to help avoid motion sickness.

Hi everyone, Brian here

I’ve been working on this update for about two months now. Since I’d love to bring this project to Android (Play Store) eventually, it simply wasn't possible with the previous state of the game—mainly due to the lack of a proper menu that integrated correctly with the Unity engine. Players rightfully had complaints regarding the QoL of Disminal. This update is my way of addressing that feedback and making the game feel as polished as it should be

Here is a summary of my notes on what I’ve been working on:

  • Menu Redesign: A complete overhaul for better navigation and engine integration.

  • Sound Settings: You can now tune the "drop ceiling" noise through Ambient Levels, while Player Levels control footsteps and camera zoom sounds.

  • New ZoomAdded a refined zoom mechanism and animation.
  • Gamepad Support: The menu now instantly recognizes gamepad input if you decide to play with a controller.

  • Mouse SensitivityFully adjustable settings added.
  • MPEG Quality Options: Choose between 480p (low-quality retro vibe) and 540p (slightly higher fidelity).

  • Localization: Menu interface now supports both Spanish and English.

  • AccessibilityAdded toggleable options for Camera Bobbing and Handshaking animations to help avoid motion sickness.
  • Collision FixesFixed plenty of missing collisions in areas that previously led to players falling off the map.
  • Smart Save SystemAutomatic location saving now detects if you are grounded. This prevents the (now mostly removed) possibility of saving your session while falling off the map.
  • Aspect Ratio SupportSupport added for Ultrawide, Widescreen, and 16:10. I also added support for the gorgeous 4:3 and 5:4 ratios—I highly recommend trying these, they just hit differently!
  • Redesigned IntroIncludes the name of my new studio where I plan to release future projects. The intro is now skippable as well.
  • Water Animation FixFixed the animation when resuming the tape while in a water area; a new animation now plays to ensure the camera doesn't clip through the water.
  • Always Fast Paced Toggeimprove comfort and reduce finger strain, I’ve added an 'Always Fast-Paced' option that locks your movement to the faster walking speed by default when pressing Shift.

Thanks to everyone for supporting this project! I’m sorry if it has taken a while to get this update out. I am currently working on two very exciting new projects while continuing to maintain Disminal and Mazewar.

I'll be posting updates on my X account about my new project, Executive Incentive 97, and I might be revealing another one similar to Disminal soon—so stay tuned!
